Pyra let the cool, gentle waves of the cerulean sea brush against her feet as she stared glumly into the blazing aura of Gormott's sunrise. She was alone in her own secret hiding place, an alcove in the edge of the old titan just outside of Torigoth. Many didn't know of this place, let alone trek here due to the monsters that roamed free, but Pyra could handle herself, more so especially when she was with Rex. Although affinity played one part, it was more thanks to the confidence she gained from his optimistic outlook on seemingly everything. On top of that, you had to recognise that she was the most powerful blade in all of Alrest; Malos was gone, Brighid was an argument for another day, and not many others could blow up a whole space station thanks to what essentially came down to the power of love.
She sighed out loud, finding that not enough, she stretched her arms out wide and sighed even louder. Rex had not even made any mention to her of the things he was doing. She knew that he had been helping out everyone else this whole past week, as his helpful self does, probably at his home in Leftheria, or perhaps by relaying some info to what was debatably still the Ardanian Empire. However selfish it may have seemed, she was annoyed at his helpfulness, and she hoped that since their journey was over, she would get the time she deserved with her driver. All she needed now was a ray of light to give her a sign.
RAY OF PUNISHMENT!
Pyra shrieked so loudly that the birds around her fled, and she couldn't stop herself from falling face flat into the water in front of her. She gave up and lay there as she heard an all too familiar laugh from behind her, and pinched herself mentally for falling for yet another one of her sister's silly pranks.
"Did I already mention how great it is to have my own body again?" The golden-haired Aegis took a seat on the soft greenery, wiping her tears of laughter away as Pyra sat up and wrung the water from her soaked hair.
"Every time you've done this since we separated. I'm really not in the mood right now, Mythra." She mumbled, the gloominess and vexation both fighting for prominence in her voice. "How did you even find me here?"
"Well," began Mythra, with her hand pointed to the side in a laid back manner, "you did say that you wanted to visit this place the last time we were in Gormott, and I saw you leave the Inn a short while ago, so you couldn't have gone far."
Pyra commended her reluctantly, if anyone knew her better than herself it was Mythra. Was it because she was created as part of her, or because she was the only one she could talk to for almost 500 years? Who knows, she wasn't about to start keeping secrets from her, however.
"So, tell me all." Mythra lent a hand and helped the other out of the water, feeling slightly guilty now.
Before speaking, the fire blade playfully flicked the droplets from her hand onto the now wet light user, who only accepted the rude remark because of how it cooled her down in the heat. "It's been 6 days now since we came here. You know what happened that day, how we were..."
"Frickin' inseparable?"
"Well, yes." Pyra blushed. "After that, he just went and left! I mean, I know he's busy, but I would've thought he'd stay a while longer, you know? It kind of, hurt."
Mythra smiled knowingly, and put a hand on her sister's shoulder. "I think we both know that he's head over heels for you."
Pyra smirked. She did know that, but the second hand confirmation made her a little happier. "I don't know what I'm waiting for, when he gets back, I should show him exactly how much he means to me!" Her hands became fists as many lightbulb ideas/cute confession scenarios flashed through her mind.
"There's no time for that." The cute thoughts broke at Mythra's monotone voice. "He already told me that he wants you tonight."
"W-What?!" Pyra brought her hands to her mouth and gasped to Mythra's confusion, who punched her shortly after realising what she was thinking. "N-Not like that! I mean he said he wants you to help him on some mission or something, meet him by Outlook Knoll at 6pm. Got that?"
