It wasn't until I heard a faint knock on my bedroom door that I realised for how long Alec and I actually had been hugging each other, completely forgetting about the troubles of the horrible world that usually hunts us.
I didn't get to chance to say anything before the door to my room opened and my mom walked in with a small smile on her beautiful face. She still wore the same clothes that she wore earlier today, but this time her raven hair was in a tight ponytail and she had also removed her black glasses.
- Alexander, I was just wondering if you would like to join us for dinner? My mother asked and looked at Alec
- It would be an honour to join you and your family for dinner, Alec said
The beautiful smile on his pink lips was the most precious thing I ever have seen and I couldn't help myself but feel like the luckiest man alive. How could someone as amazing as Alexander take any interest in me?
- Perfect, my mother said happily
She gave us both one last smile and thereafter she left my bedroom and closed the door carefully behind her. In the exact same second Alec and I ended up all, Alexander pressed his lips against mine in a lovingly kiss.
- What was that for? I asked when our lips separated from each other
- No specific reason, Alec answered
- Are you sure you want to stay over for dinner? I said and looked at him
- Of course, Mags. I care about you and your family, Alexander said
- Thank you, I whispered and smiled
We walked down the stairs together and then continued into the kitchen where my mom and dad was waiting for us. I sat down beside my dad and Alec took a seat next to my mother.
- Tell me something about yourself, Alexander. My son seems quiet fond of you and I would love to know why
My father's words almost made Alec choke on his own food and I couldn't help but let our a little chuckle as his tomato face was absolutely adorable.
- My name is Alec Lightwood and I live together with my three siblings and my parents, Alec said proudly
- Lightwood? My mother asked and looked at Alec with two chocked eyes
- Yes, Alec said
- I went to school with a girl that had the same last name, my mother said
- Do you maybe remember what her first name was? Alexander answered
- Maryse, my mom said and smiled
- That's my mother's name, Alec said
I could clearly see the surprise in his crystal clear eyes, but it was also like he found it interesting that both our mothers studied at the same school.
- What a wonderful coincidence, my mother said and smiled at Alexander
- Indeed, Alec said and smiled back
- Do you have any kinds of hobbies? My father asked who clearly felt left out as my mother took the spotlight
- I took archery lessons before I lost my accident, but I haven't brought it up again after I gained my eyesight
- Why not? I asked little bit confused
- I have more important priorities at the moment, Alexander answered
- Like what? My mother asked and looked at Alec with two curios eyes
- Taking care of your son, Alec said and flashed me a incredible smile
- That's a hobby we can't say no to, my mother said with a happy voice
The three of them continued talking to each other, but I zoomed out. All the food I ate started making me feel really sick and the constant pain in my poor head was once again back.
- Mags? My father suddenly said and looked at me with two worried eyes
- I don't feel so good, I stuttered and felt how the room started spinning
My father reacted quicker than ever and ran over to where I was sitting. He lifted me up from the chair I sat on and carried me in his arms into the living room where he placed me carefully down on the small couch.
- I'm going to go and grab your pills. Stay here, my father said and left the living room in a blink of a damn eye
Sadly, my dad wasn't fast enough and I ended up throwing up all over the floor, making a disgusting mess that only made me feel more sick.
- Magnus?
Alexander's voice was filled with so much worry and I almost didn't even hear when he suddenly was with me.
My father came running back into the living room with my pills that he made me swallow with some water.
- Baby, can you hear me? My father asked and dragged his hand through my raven black hair filled with sweat
- Yeah, I answered
Alexander took both of my hands in his and placed a light kiss against my forehead that was filled with so much sweat that it was disgusting.
- How are you feeling? Alec asked
- Bad, I said and felt how hot tears made their way down my two cheeks
- Should we call someone? Alec said and looked over at my stressed dad
- I'll call an ambulance, my dad said
- No, I stuttered and tried to sit up
- Mags, you need to get some kind of medication, Alec answered serious
- I don't want to go to the hospital,
I said and cried more than before
- It's not up to you, my father said
He walked away again, probably to call an ambulance to pick me up. I tightened the grip on Alec's hands and tried to memorise his face, like this was the last time I would see it.
- Alec? I was with a tired voice
- Yes? He asked and looked at me
- If I survive this, do you want to be official and become my boyfriend?
- Mags, you're going to survive this and I would honestly love to become your boyfriend, Alec said and smiled
- Good, I answered and smiled back
Both my eyelids became heavier and before I knew it, I passed out on the couch to the sound of sirens in the distance, signalling that my father actually had called an ambulance.
