After almost 14 hours of flight, we finally arrived in the Philippines.
Pagkalabas namin ng plane, it was extremely cold outside. Most likely because it's 5 a.m. here. When I looked up at the sky, I noticed that the sun was ready to set.
It's good to be back!
"Are you excited? " Kuya Khris asked, and I enthusiastically nodded.
Meron mga bodyguards ang kumuha ng mga luggage namin. Near us, I noticed one SUV and three vans. The SUV is most likely for Lolo.
I noticed Kuya Wayne conversing with a man. I saw something familiar about him when I stared at him. He's probably one of the bodyguards we were with last year.
Kuya Khris walked me through the van. Pagkapasok ko, he greeted the driver which I also did the same.
We waited until everything's set. Kuya Wayne also got inside at umupo sa likod namin.
"I'll sleep first. I think I'm very tired," I told my brothers.
"Go ahead," Kuya Khris said.
I woke up hearing my brothers talking to the driver. I noticed, nakasandal ako sa balikat ni Kuya Khris.
"Are we here already?" I asked. Nakasandal pa rin ako at napansin kong tumingin sa akin si Kuya Khris.
"We're already in our subdivision," he said.
May nalagpasan kaming mga puno at isang ginagawang bahay. Maya-maya, puro puno na ang nalalagpasan namin hanggang sa tumigil na ito. Naunang bumaba si Kuya Khris at sumunod ako. Tumigil na rin ang sasakyan ni Lolo at bumaba siya.
This house has been under construction for three years. It is a stunning contemporary house that exudes grandeur and elegance. My family is said to have hired a local architectural firm to build this house.
We entered the home and were greeted by the staff. I went straight to the living room to sit since I was exhausted. Jet-lagged.
The settee I'm sitting on looks out onto the yard. The Fleetwood doors are pocketed kaya open ang living room. Pumasok sa loob ang simoy ng hangin.
I saw the men from earlier going outside the garden, or backyard as Americans call it.
"Huh? What are they up to? " I asked Lolo, who happened to be sitting next to me.
I sought for Kuya Khris and Kuya Wayne, but they were with the men. Nakatayo sila, magkakatabi. Napansin ko yung pwesto ni Kuya Khris at nasa pangalawa siya habang si Kuya Wayne nasa dulo. Tinignan ko sila isa-isa at natawa ako ng malakas. It's my brothers.
"Hey! What is this?" I said while laughing at pati sila ay natawa rin. "What is this, Lolo?" I cast a peek at Lolo. He merely chuckled and shrugged his shoulders.
