I don't know what's happening here but

(tw abuse when there's bold again it'll be over)

Chase's dad was a pretty sh*tty dude but he normally wasn't physically abusive to chase or jenna, there was a lot of yelling with Jenna but he didn't even typically yell at Chase

But there was ONE TIME where Eugene came home drunk and Chase was already upset (chase was probably like six at this point and Eugene was even more irritable then usual) so after Eugene grabbed another beer Chase was telling him to stop and so Eugene wrestled him down and threw the bottle at him :')

Eugene immediately regretted it and said he wouldn't do it again if he didn't tell his mom

Of course chase told his mom but it still didn't happen again, but Chase wasn't okay with him for the next few years

And so I think Chase has a scar on his chest because he was shirtless when it happens but he doesn't normally bring it up since it's a touchy subject and he just doesn't think it needs to be brought up without prompting but Just asks if he's gotten any scars at one point and he tells the story and shows him the scar

so maybe that's what's happening in that sketch idk

okay it's okay now we're going to go happier things

Today there were some kittens and a mama cat outside of our church

there were three but i only got pictures of that one :')
