Ten Reasons

Reason 4

I look around the cafeteria for Haily, waiting for her to show up as I munch on my French fries. My favorite thing about this school, is the food actually tastes good for cafeteria food.

I immediately perk up when Haily enters the cafeteria, I wave at her when she see's me. She doesn't respond, she just stands where she is and watches me for a moment before heading to the doors that lead to the picnic tables outside.

I frown as I watch her leave. People around the cafeteria watch too. Haily is known as one of the girls that sits at a empty table one day, then a crowded table the next day but does not interact with the people around her, besides the occasional waves and Hi's.

She has never once, went outside to eat by herself. Students usually only go outside to eat in autumn when it isn't to hot or cold, and there aren't to many bugs out.

As the doors close behind Haily I pick up my stuff and head towards the doors. People stare at me but don't question me as I head outside.

I spot Haily sitting at a table silently eating her food and I head over. She doesn't look at me as I sit next to her and sigh,"The perfect Picnic spot."

I see a slight smile on Haily's lips but it leaves as soon as it appears,"What are you doing out here Jack?"

"Well lets see, my future prom date looks sad, and she has never eaten her lunch outside before, so when I saw her leave, I decided to be her Charming Knight in Shining Armor and keep her company and find out what is bugging her."

Haily looks up at me with a slight smile,"Charming Knight in shining armor?"

I shrug,"Well, yeah, I am handsome and charming like Prince Charming, but I am cool and brave like a Knight." I tell her and she snorts.

"Self absorbed much?" She asks with a smile.

"Maybe a little," I tell her and she shakes her head and rolls her eyes,"So, whats up? Why didn't you sit with me at lunch?"

She sighs,"Jack, I really think you should stop trying to get me to go to prom with you, I already know it is all a trick. I am not going to anyone toy with my feelings again, I am sorry but please find someone else and break their heart." before I can say anything she gets up and walks away.

Hey Everyone! Sorry I didn't update, I had a busy month. My parents came home for May! :D

But they leave again on June 7th. All well.
