I woke up, sweat drenched my shirt. It sounded like everyone else was awake already. There weren't any clocks around so I didn't know the time but it was almost day break. I went through my bag to find a new shirt, all of them black. All for same reason too, incase I choose to kill myself again I won't have to trash it. As for my jacket, I'll never get rid of that no matter how many blood stains are on it. I put on a new shirt and some jeans too. The jeans were black and baggy, just like my jacket. I threw on my jacket and twisted the door knob. They were all laughing hysterically, before anyone saw me I put my hood on. I approached them much like a zombie. I felt lifeless, like I was on autopilot this whole time. I sat down on one of the rusty stools in the kitchen by the island.
"So, are you excited for training Hide?" Kei asked as I sat next to Kai, "Hide?"
I was staring at the spray painted marble island, my eyes or mouth wouldn't move. Then again, it's not like I wanted them to.
"Hide, what's wrong with you,?" Kei turned the chair towards him. So I looked up at him. "Jeez, did you even get any sleep last night?"
"Yeah," I turned the stool and started staring again.
"Okay well, we're going to be leaving in twenty minutes so all of you better get ready," Kei said in his serious voice.
"Okay got it," Kai and Ko said in unison.
I turned the chair to go back to my room. I made my bed then sat down by my bag, all the thoughts that were racing through my head yesterday no longer are there. Nothings there anymore, just pure space. I rummaged through my bag to find the handgun I used to shoot myself the day prior. I help it in my hand, just held it. The thought "kill yourself" didn't even go through cross my mind. I heard a knock on the door,it was Kai because of his signature knock.
"Come on shorty, lets go. We're leaving earlier before it's too light."
"O- Okay," I stuttered. I put the gun in the waste of my pants, "Coming!" I yelled.
I walked out side and closed the door, "lock it will ya." Kei asked
"Umm, okay." I locked the door and we were all on our way.
We hiked for what seemed like hours, luckily I didn't bring a backpack like Kei. Me, Kai, and Ko all followed him to this hidden spot. It was hot, super fucking hot. I was smart and wore long pants and a jacket. Not for the heat purpose, rather to shield me from the sun. The others were t-shirts and pants. No one had sunscreen so they're probably going to be red as fuck. Not me though!
"Kei, how much longer?" Kai asked.
"We're almost there, just over this next hill and we're there," he responded.
"Uggg," Ko whined from second in our single file line.
I was in the back, the whole time I didn't talk I just stared down at my feet while walking. I was talked to myself in my head, but that was it.
"We're here, "Kei said as we approached a completely covered area full of trees with a small opening with no tree stumps but branches covering over head.
"Okay, Hide go over there, Ko, you there, Kai go over there with Hide," Kei directed us in two spots.
Kei had me go over to a shorter type tree with Kai. Kei was rummaging through his backpack and pulled out a noose and walked over to us.
"No Kei, please no," Kai said worried.
Kei was putting the rope up on the tree, he was successfully.
"You're seriously making him do that? Remember when you made me do that, it didn't work Kei," Ko said.
"God both of you shut up!" Kei was getting pissed, "Okay, I'll lift you and I think you know the drill." Kei said as he looked at me.
Ko and Kai also looked at me as if I was crazy. They gave me the "don't do it" stare.
"Okay," I said with little hesitation.
"When you go up think about something you hate or want to destroy," Kei said as he lifted me up to the tied noose. I nodded, this sounded easy. My neck was in the noose, all I concentrated on were my thoughts of humans. They all hate me, so I'll kill them. Kei let go and there I was a crack. Another death of mine, yay.
"They all hate me, so I'll kill them," A raspy voice said from a hundred feet away. Every bodies heads turned quickly except Kai's.
"Is it there?!" Kai asked.
"It sure is," Ko responded as he gulped in fear.
"Okay then get Hide down!" Kai yelled.
I gasped as there were more black shards like the last time I died. I was trying to hold myself up, Kai just noticed me as tried to get me down but I died again.
"All humans will pay," the raspy voice said once again.
Kai got me down this time, I was laying on the ground and gasped again. I looked and saw my ghost, I got up and walked towards it. It stood there, still and quite. Its fingers were as sharp as daggers, and its arms were super long. It looked far more frightening than Keis. His was like a normal tall person wrapped in all black bandages, but mine. Well, mine was wrapped with all black bandages, had dagger like fingers, and abnormally long arms. Otherwise, everything looked like a human. Except it was a ghost that appeared when I cleared my mind and died.
"Come," I said sternly.
The black figure made what would've been considered eye contact and walked toward me . It was right in front of me, crouching to what would be eye level.
"They will pay," the raspy monotone voice said.
I tried to stop it but I couldn't stop myself. I laughed and couldn't stop, everybody looked at me again. Kei was the first one to talk, "this is how you get r-."
"Why would I want to get rid of it?" I chuckled, "this is so much power, with this we're literally invincible!"
" Hide you don't use your ability like that!" Kai screamed.
"Fine," I said in the voice of an asshole. My got in my face due to the wind, Kei explained to me how they work so we had a battle between the ghosts.
"When fighting the ghosts you need to attack the head because that's what dissolves them," Kei said as Kai and Ko were watching inattentively. We store each other down while our ghosts got ready to attack, by now it must've been around three in the afternoon. All of this was getting too easy.
"Go," I said.
My ghost raced to where Keis was, and drove their fingers into his ghosts face. Keis ghost grabbed mine onto the ground as it fell. My ghost kicked Keis in the head and his dissolved.
"Leave," I said, and it vanished without a trace.
Everyone just stared, "Okay well, I think that's enough training for the day, maybe even a month."
"I agree," Ko said in awe, agreeing with Kei.
Kai was so confused as to what was going on because humans can't see ajins. We ended up heading back to the hide out where we were staying. That was a good way to channel anger I guess. It was probably four by the time we got back, so Ko decided to start making dinner for all of us.
"I'm gonna change," I told the rest of the guys.
"Okay make sure you're back soon it's almost done," Kai said.
"Yeah you wouldn't want to miss out on Kos cooking," Kei said with a laugh.
"Got it," I ran to the room and shut the door.
