The Tragic Truth

The Greeting of a Friend...

After getting interviewed we fled the scene in a hurry. More bombs went off as we the FBI invaded the area. Sato and his four guys left in the not caring where I was, but I was going to the shrine to meet up with someone special. I ran as fast I could through bushes and shrubs, in fact I even stubbed my toe on a few cut down tree trunks. 

I arrived at the Shrine, it was only me. I said that on live television and no one but Kai knew what I was talking about. There was a tree, the tree Kai would help me climb when I was too small to do it on my own. He knew exactly what I was talking about so if it took him hours to show up, I would wait.  I sat down leaning on the tree, what have I done to myself? I looked at my hands, I was going crazy. I was going out of control, but I can't change any of this. I just fucked up my whole life, basically my never ending nightmare. 

"1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8..." I would keep continuing on and on. The numbers never stopped, I'm not the same crybaby that would cry when everything got fucked over. My whole life is fucked up and there's nothing I can do. So in order to maintain my sanity I count like when I was with Sato. I heard a rustling in the bushes. 

"1,000,1,001,1,003..." I turned around there was Kai. I looked insane, truly insane this time. 

"Hi-, Hide..." he looked and tears flooded his eyes, "what's wrong with you?" he screamed. 

"How could you do that to all those people?!" He screamed as tears rolled down his face faster and faster. 

"That's what they want to do to me," I said emotionless. 

I put my hand up to my eye socket, there were bandages soaked in blood covering it. 

"What happened to you?" he asked me in a hurry. 

"I looked down at the ground, "1,004, 1,005,1,00-," Kai cut me off right there.

"Hide knock it off, what the hell's wrong with you?! What did he do to you to make you like this?!" He screamed at me. 

"You really want to know what he did to me?! He scooped my eye out, he killed me over and over again to the point that it doesn't hurt when I die anymore. He made cuts all over me to the point where it scared permanently. Every time I reset it doesn't change, at this point no one can save me. I can't save myself, its gone too far." I said with a bit of anger. 

Kai ran up to me and hugged me, in all honesty  that was the last thing I was expecting from him. At this point he was crying even more, I pushed him away. 

"Why do you care about me still? I turned into a creep, a monster, a freak! I'm a sociopath, how come you don't realize that I'm truly fucked in the head?!" I wanted to cry but couldn't. 

"Now!" Kai screamed.

"Wha-" I was shot with a tranquilizer dart. 

"Don't you remember? One dart doesn't do anything to me. Why are you doing this Kai?!"

"I'm sorry," 10 more shots were fired at me in the back.
