After getting back to the hide out, everyone sat down in exhaustion. Kai was confused, Ko was amazed, and Kei was in awe. The two boys couldn't believe what they saw, the black ghost wasn't like most. It wasn't what you would call "normal." The summoning of that thing was freaky, but the fact it would repeat what I would say, was even more freaky. It was Kai's turn to make dinner so he headed towards the kitchen while the rest of us were in the living room watching TV. Kei kept browsing through all the stations and decided to turn on the news. It's been nearly two days of me out here, but I hate it. So, so much. The news kept going on and on about "Japan's climate change" and the "the discovery of another ajin." The TV turned to commercial break, it smelled as if Kai was going to set the old place on fire.
"NO NO NO! You're supposed to put oil in the pan you dimwit!" Ko yelled at him.
"Oh shut up, like you could do it any better," Kei laughed.
Kai stood there annoyed by the two of them and they're mockery. Kei was sitting on a wooden stool in front of the TV while Kai and Ko bickered. I was pacing back and forth the hall way thinking and thinking like I always do. I've had the reputation to over think EVERYTHING, and that's no exaggeration. You could tell the news came back on because of its opening theme.
"And we're back on the air with a missing person case, a young boy age 15 has gone missing. His name is Hide Fiji," at this point everyone stopped what they were doing. Kai and Ko stopped bickering over the food and came in the living room just as I did.
"He has brown hair, blue eyes, is 5'2, and has been missing for about a week now," everyone's faces were blank at the blair of the television. I just wanted it to shut up, or even turn off, anything for this to be over.
"Now over to detectives at the scene," the word "live" appeared in the upper right hand corner of the TV.
"When looking in the house there was blood under the bed and on the walls. All the blood was dried on the walls and carpet in the upstairs bedroom. The mother said someone moved her son's bed to cover up the scene, we believe this is a murder while others believe Hide Fiji is an ajin himself. Now to the mother of Hide."
"I- I miss my boy so much, he was such a bundle of joy. I don't know why he's gone he wouldn't hurt a fly my sweet boy," after my mother said that everyone looked at me in disbelief.
"I want him back to me, you see. I love him so much and miss him all the time."
"Bull shit!" I screamed. Now I was the center of attention instead of the TV. "You were never fucking there you piece of shit person! All you ever cared about was your precious meth and coke! You never cared about me, and because of you I'm forced to deal with this!" Everyone looked at me.
"Hide calm down," Kai said to me.
"No Kai, I'm not going to fucking calm down. She put me through this shit and now everyone's coming after me because of her. If word gets out that I'm an ajin, then ever MORE people will be after me and even more determined ones!" At this point I was out of breath from hyperventilating and yelling.
"Why don't I just come out and say I'm an ajin? Then they can experiment on me all they want and then how will my "mother" feel? Wonderful, knowing that her child's going through even more pain than she put me through," tears were running down my face as I was stumbling around about to pass out from the lack of oxygen in my body. I backed up into the hallway wall and turned around, "this isn't fair!" On the last syllable of my sentence I punched a huge hole in the wall. Everything went black after that all I remember was the sound of my body collapsing on the hard wood floor.
THE NEXT DAY__________________
"No!" I woke up drenched in sweat in the bed I've been sleeping in for two days. I looked on the ground to see glimpses of sunlight. I headed out to the hallway to see only Ko out in the living room. He looked intrigued by what was playing on the television.
"What happened last night?" I asked rubbing my head sleepily.
Ko hesitated for a minute, "wait, you don't remember?"
I shook my head no waiting for an explanation for why my head was throbbing and why there was a hole in the hallway wall.
"Well," Ko looked to the ground then back at me, " you passed out last night because you were yelling so much. You also put a hole in the wall." Ko just laughed it off like it was no big deal, unlike me I felt horrible for all the rest of them having to deal with that.
"Oh..." I didn't know what to say after that.
"Well anyway, Kai went to the store to pick up a few things and Kei went to train some more with his ghost. I got to stay here with you," he said in a sarcastic annoyed voice.
"Wow thanks, that makes me feel even more better Ko," I complained.
"Oh I'm just kidding, I think you'll be happy with what Kai's picking up from the store for you," Ko looked at me with a smile. I could tell there was a grin forming on my face.
1 HOUR LATER__________________
"Hey guys I'm back," Kai yelled as he walked through the door.
Me, Ko and Kei were all looking for what the news had to say about my case. Nothing come on though, just my luck.
"Hide, I got you something that you've always wanted," Kai was pulling a box out of the store bag. The box read, "BLEACH PLATNOM HAIRDYE" and another box which read, "GRAY".
"Oh my god thank you so much Kai!" I exclaimed, I finally get to dye my hair! Thank the lord on high!
" You did say you wanted to dye your hair gray right?" he asked me.
I nodded with excitement, "come on lets go!" I dragged him to the bathroom with the two boxes in my arms while Kei and Ko were laughing.
"Okay so what do we do first?" I asked.
"Just leave it to the master," Kai said with a smirk.
As the bleach was applied to my scalp it burned like hell, it would all be worth it in the end. After we applied the purple looking bleach to my head we all waited around the television looking for an update. Nothing, nothing came on about it at all. Hopefully that's a good thing, although it could be even worse. After waiting for two hours with the crap on my head we finally washed it out. My hair looked like Jesus Christ on the stairway to Heaven!
"Oh my god Kai It's amazing!" I was looking in the cracked mirror at the new transition.
"Okay now time for the new hair style," he rummaged around in his bag for a while before pulling something out. Sharp scissors along with razor and some hair gel.
After toying with my hair for what seemed like hours, Kai finally had it to his liking, "Kei, Ko, what do you guys think?" I was totally unrecognizable to anyone!
"Wow," Kei and Ko both said in unison, "that's a major change," Kei said.
After receiving my new look we waited around for another update, but finally all this waiting had come to an end. "This is Kannon Takashi live outside of the missing teen Hide Fiji's apartment complex. Police are now suspecting it was a suicide attempt because of the note they found in the mattress. If the police are correct in their conspiracy, Japan may very well have another Ajin. The police are setting out a massive search through out all of Tokyo starting next week. If Hide Fiji is an Ajin, which is very likely. He will be in the custody of the government, and they will find hi-," Kei turned off the TV.
"I've had enough, we need to get out of here as soon as possible."
