Chapter 17

A/N: My apologies foe not updating sooner. I seriously lose track of days during summer. I'm updating now so don't hate me. I'm sorry if this is boring. Anyway here we go.

Jenna:

The guys and I text pretty often now. I mostly talk to Jaime and Tony though. They call every day. It’s been 3 days since I saw them last and I have to admit I miss them. I was lying in bed on Wednesday night painting my nails when I got a phone call from Tony and Jaime. They were hanging out at Jaime’s house and put me on speaker so they could both talk to me.

“Hey Jenn! What’s up?” Jaime said. “Not much I’m just here painting my nails.”  “Oh, you better make them look real pretty ‘cuz we’ve got news for you.” “What are you planning, Preciado?” “Jaime and I were thinking of taking you somewhere special for your birthday tomorrow. How does that sound?” Tony chimed in. “Guys! I told you I didn’t want to do anything.” I whined. “We know, we know but you’re becoming a big part of this group of friends and this group of friends celebrates birthdays. And sometimes that means having your best friends take you out.” Jaime said. “Ugh, fine. Where are you guys going to take me?” I said. “That, babygirl, we cannot say.” Tony said and I could hear the smile on his face. “You guys can be a pain in the butt sometimes, you know?” I said with a smile. “Yes, but you love us!” I heard Tony say. I laughed. “You’re lucky I do!” “Alright so be ready by 7:30. Oh and dress nicely little lady!” Jaime called out. “Are you trying to say that I don’t dress nicely already Himes?” I said laughing. “No, but I meant nicely as in fancy.” “Oh gosh, I have to wear a dress?” I asked with a horrified look on my face that I knew they could not see. “Yes, missy. You have to wear a dress.” Tony said. “God, you guys want to kill me. Fine I’ll wear a dress.” I could hear Jaime and Tony shout in triumph through the phone. “You guys suck though.” I said chuckling. “We love you too Jenn.” Tony said. I laughed and chatted with them for a while longer while I finished painting my nails. They kept making me laugh while I waited for my nail polish to dry.

It was late when Jaime suddenly said, “Hey Jenn. Guess what?” “What’s up Hime’s?” Tony and Jaime both yelled suddenly into the phone. “HAPPY BIRTHDAAAAAY!!!” I laughed as they made a whole bunch of noise. “Is it really that late already?” I asked glancing at the clock. 12 o clock exactly. “Thank you guys! You’re awesome.” I absolutely loved these friends of mine. “No! You’re awesome!” Jaime shouted into the phone. I was laughing when I suddenly started getting another call. “Hey guys! I’m getting another call. I’m going to put you on hold for a bit, okay?” I heard them whine about them being more important but they agreed as I laughed. I answered the other phone call leaving my boys on hold. “Hello?” I said into the receiver. “HAPPY BIRTHDAAAAY MY LOVE!!!”  I heard two girls shout into the phone. “Oh my gosh! Is this who I think it is?” I asked into the phone, recognizing the voices. “The ones and only love!!” I heard one of the girls say. “ANEESA AND ADREEANA! I’ve missed you guys so much!!!! How are you? I can’t believe you guys remembered! ” I shouted into the phone at my best friends from back home. “How could we forget our love’s birthday? Even if she is living two hours away.” I heard Aneesa’s voice talking to me. “Oh my gosh I love you guys so much! We need to FaceTime, I want to see you two!” I said into the phone. “Consider it done baby!” “Wait up. I have Tony and Jaime on the other line making plans for my birthday. Let me finish talking to them and then I’ll call you.” I said. “Tony and Jaime? Wait… you don’t mean who I think you mean right?” Adreeana’s voice asked. “Who do you think I mean babe?” I asked. “Tony Perry and Jaime Preciado from Pierce the Veil?” she asked, knowing that I always wanted to meet them. “That’s exactly who I mean babe.” I heard screaming from the other side. “Oh my gosh! You know them?! And not only that, you’re on the phone with them? You have so much to tell us!!” I laughed at Aneesa’s excited voice. “Alright, alright. Let me just tell them that I have to make another call. I’ll call you in a bit.” I hung up that phone conversation and returned to Jaime’s and Tony’s phone call. Before I could talk though I heard them talking and I just shut up and listened for a bit. “Dude, it’s still hard for me to believe. It’s only been a week and look at where I am. Doing anything for this girl.” I heard Tony say to Jaime. “Hey, I don’t blame you! She really is a great girl just remember what I told you.” Jaime said. “I know, I know. As much as I like her, I have to wait at least a year.” I heard Tony sigh. “Hey man, no worries. I’m pretty sure she feels the same even if she hasn’t said anything yet.” Jaime said. I suddenly realized that it was me they were talking about. Holy Shit! Tony did like me! I felt myself smile like an idiot. I almost forgot that I had them on the phone. I snapped out of my surprised state, the big smile still on my face. “Hey guys! I’m back!” I said trying not to show that I had overheard anything. “Oh, hey Jenn. Who called?” Tony asked. “My best friends from back home. They remembered my birthday and wanted to surprise me. They want to facetime because we have not talked in forever. You guys mind if I leave?” I said hopeful. I heard the guys chuckle. “Go on and talk to your friends. We’ll be fine!” Jaime answered my question. “Oh my gosh! Thank you, thank you, thank you! I love you guys so much! I’ll see you tonight!” I practically screamed into the phone. Okay, so I was a bit excited to talk to my Ade and Anee. Tony laughed. “Wow you’re excited. Have fun babygirl!” Tony said. I loved the cute nicknames that the boys always gave me. “Thanks. See you later. Thanks for the birthday wishes. I love you!” “No problem cutie! Bye!” Jaime called out. “Bye!” I hung up the phone. I grabbed a pillow from my bed and pressing up to my face, I screamed. Tony liked me! But he wasn’t going to say anything until I was finally legal. Shit! Oh well, hopefully his opinion doesn’t change!
