Jenna:

I arrived home about five minutes later due to the lack of traffic. Once I pulled into Leila’s driveway I turned the car off. I took my phone in my hands and tapped on my contacts. I needed to put Tony’s picture as his ID before I forgot. I tapped edit contact and chose his picture. I stared at it for a while. Damn, he was amazingly cute.

I leaned my head back in my seat and closed my eyes, going through memories of last night. The guys were all amazing but Tony was something special. I remembered how he would blush so much, but he also seemed so comfortable that he could joke around with me. If I didn’t know better I would say he liked me. I knew that couldn’t be true though because he was 11 years older. I was crazy for even bringing up the thought. He’d never think about me as more than just a friend, I’m too young. But then again, I had his jacket and hat in the seat next to me as proof that he liked me. Maybe it wasn’t the way I wanted him to, but at least he liked me as a friend. I opened my eyes and looked to my passenger seat. Seeing his belongings there served as a guarantee that I would be seeing him again, he wanted that.  I smiled like a fool before grabbing Tony’s things, my keys, and phone and stepping out of my car.

I unlocked Leila’s front door and stopped dead in my tracks when I saw the living room. “Holy. Fucking. Crap.” I dropped my keys on the glass table beside the entrance and pushed the door closed with my foot. The room was a mess. There were water bottles and beer cans all over the floor. Bags of chips and crunched chips themselves were scattered on the carpet. “I’m going to kill these two girls.” I hung Tony’s jacket and hat on the coat rack near the door and got my phone out. I took a picture of the room, and then a picture of myself pouting showing a thumbs down. I typed in: Just got to my friends house. Wish me luck cleaning up this mess they left. I tapped on Tony’s number in my contacts and sent him the message. I only had to wait a few seconds for the reply.

Damn. Good luck with that, young padawan.

I smiled at the Star Wars allusion and placed my phone next to my keys. I braced myself for the worst and walked into the kitchen. It was even worse than the living room. The fridge was open; there were countless beer cans in the sink, glass on the floor – probably from a breaking dish – in front of the trash can. Really, guys? You couldn’t make it into the freaking trash can? I couldn’t believe these girls. Apparently, they had decided to have an after party to the after party. I walked around the broken glass and headed to the fridge. Once I closed it I headed over to one of the drawers where Leila’s parents kept some random items. After a couple of seconds I found what I was looking for. I pulled out a shiny metal whistle and marched upstairs.

I found Leila and Kristi passed out in Leila’s bedroom. Leila was lying on the bed, still fully clothed and the sheets rumpled up while Kristi was on the floor face down. I brought the whistle to my mouth, sucked in a deep breath, and I blew as hard as I could. Both girls instantly jumped up, scared to death. The whistle was loud and I kept the sound going, seeing them put their hands up to their probably throbbing heads. “WHAT THE FUCK, JENN?!” Leila spoke up once I stopped blowing the whistle. I smiled at them. “Rise and shine ladies. You party hard? You better be ready for the cleanup. Get your asses out of bed in two minutes and meet me downstairs or this whistle goes off again.” “Alright, alright. Chill out Jenna! We’re coming.” Kristi called as she got up. I marched downstairs and got out a box of large trash bags from the cupboards under the sink. A minute later the girls found their way to the kitchen where I was at.

I tossed them the bottle of Tylenol I had gotten from the medicine cupboard in the restroom on my way back down. I reached in the fridge and brought out two water bottles setting them down on the counter as the girls took a seat each before them. “Drink all the water and take the medicine. We have work to do around here.” They did as they were told as I walked around the house with a trash bag picking up all the empty beer cans. I filled up two large bags of only beer cans and took them outside, setting them down next to the trash cans. I headed back inside the kitchen to find the girls where I left them. “Okay, get off your asses.” I tossed Leila a trash bag. “Go pick up whatever trash you find around the house.” She didn’t argue and walked in the direction of the living room. I turned to Kristi. “Go bring out the broom and vacuum. I need you to sweep up the kitchen. There’s glass everywhere so be careful okay?” she nodded and stopped quickly as she found it was a bad idea. She held her head as she walked off to do as she was told.
