Jenna:

I was honestly nervous for tonight. I really wanted to impress Tony. As soon as Leila and Kristi left my room I hopped into the shower. I shaved by legs and underarms while I showered and came out thirty minutes later. I wrapped my towel around my head to let it absorb the water left in my hair and I walked into my bedroom. I put on the beige panties and strapless bra that I had laid out before I showered. I pulled on my dress and walked back to the restroom. I had decided that I was going to show off my side cut today. I have a side cut on the left side of my hair but I normally cover it with the rest of my hair since it’s really long. I only save it for special occasions, which today is. I pulled out a heat protecting oil and put some on my hair before I started blow drying it. After I dried it, I took out my flat iron and plugged it in, letting it heat up so I could curl my hair. I rarely curl my hair because it takes a long time, but I wanted to see what Tony thought of it. I walked out of my room and put on my accessories. I started with my bracelets, then my earrings, and finally my necklace. I removed my threaded anklet and put on my silver anklet that had a Star Wars rebel sign on my right ankle. I placed it so that the rebel sign ended up on the right side of my ankle, clearly visible.

I went into the restroom and worked on my hair. I curled my sleek black hair, making it have lighter curls near the top of my head and more defined curls at the bottom. It took me about an hour to curl all my hair. I was sure to leave my side cut visible by flipping the hair covering it to my right side. When I was satisfied with my work I took a beige and rose flower hair clip and used it to pin a small strand of hair to my right side. I took out my makeup and, for this special occasion, I picked out some eye shadows that I barely used. I gave myself a light brown, smoky eye look. After making sure my eye shadow was perfect I continued to apply the rest of my makeup as usual, except I used brown eyeliner today to go with my eyes. I lightly sprayed on a perfume that I had bought in Paris the last time I went. It was my favorite perfume. I brushed my teeth and afterwards I put on a light shade of pink lipstick.

I glanced at the clock. It was seven now so I walked over to the side of my bed where I had left my wedges and I slipped them on. Then I started picking up the mess in my room. I put away all my make-up and hair products and hung up the towel I had used to dry. Once my room was clean, I pulled on my watch, placing it on my left wrist. Then I went over to my purse and emptied all the things I would need tonight onto my bed. I took my light brown purse from my closet and threw in my wallet, cell phone, lipstick, eye drops for my contacts and my brown eyeliner, in case I needed to touch it up later. As soon as I was finished, I heard the doorbell ring. I jumped up, grabbed my camera and took one last look in the mirror before heading downstairs to open the door for Tony and Jaime.

“Mom! I’m leaving now! Don’t wait up!” I called out to my mom. “Alright hun, have fun!” she called back. I opened the door and stopped right before I was going to step out. Jaime and Tony were standing in my doorstep, but I had frozen once I saw Tony. He looked so handsome. He was wearing a camo button up shirt under a black blazer, skinny jeans and his black and camo snapback. He looked really hot. It took a minute for me to realize that he was too staring at me. I made myself snap out of the trance that he had gotten me in and I smiled. “Hi guys!” Tony was shaken out of his thoughts when I spoke. He looked down at his feet and I swear I could see his cheeks turn bright red. “Hey Jenn! Damn, you look beautiful miss.” Jaime pulled me into a tight hug. I chuckled, “Thanks Himes.” He pulled away from me as he said, “Hey, I’m just stating the obvious.” Tony had looked up but he was trying to avoid my gaze. “Hi Tony.” I said and he finally turned to see me. He smiled, “Hello babygirl. Uhh…you really are looking stunning tonight. I mean not that you don’t always do… it’s just…uhh..” Jaime nudged his shoulder and nodded at the flowers in Tony’s hands. I hadn’t even noticed them before. I smiled as he said, “Oh yeah, I…uhh…brought you some flowers.” This time he really did blush and I chuckled. “Aww, thanks Tone.” I took the flowers as he handed them to me and wrapped my arms around his neck as his arms went around my waist. “Not a problem, beautiful.” “Here come on in so I can put these in some water and then we’ll head out.” I said as I pulled away from Tony. I walked back inside and the guys followed me as I went into the kitchen. I took out a vase from one of the cabinets and set it in the sink, turning on the water to fill it. “I got you a little something, Jenn.” Jaime said as I turned around to face my guys. “You guys really shouldn’t have.” I said as I snuck a glance at Tony, who was unsuccessfully trying not to look at me. “We wanted to.” Jaime said as I shut off the running water and placed Tony’s flowers in the vase. They were tiger white roses, my favorite. “How’d you know these were my favorite flowers Tone?”  I asked as I finished setting them in the vase. I looked over at him to see his head shoot up. “They are?” I nodded and he laughed softly. “I didn’t know, I just thought they were really pretty. They reminded me of you, one of a kind.” He gave me the cutest smile as I walked over to them and took the small rectangular box that Jaime was holding out for me. “Well, I love them. Thanks.” I said to Tony. “You’re welcome.” He answered. He seemed really nervous for some reason.

I opened the box that Jaime gave me and gasped. It was a beautiful silver bracelet with my name engraved on a small plaque. I took it out of the box and felt something engraved on the back as well. I turned it around to see today’s date engraved on the backside. “Oh my gosh, Jaime! This is amazing! Thank you so much. I love it!” I said giving him a hug! “You’re welcome. I’m glad you like it. I was worried you wouldn’t.” he said laughing softly. “Are you kidding? It is beautiful.” I answered. I pulled away from him and took off the brown and beige bracelets I had put on my right hand. “Help me put it on Himes.” I said as I reached out my right hand and gave him the bracelet. He put it on easily and then said, “Alright, well we should get going.” I nodded. “Of course.” We all walked out of the house. Jaime started walking to the car while I locked my front door. Tony was still there waiting for me. He let me walk down my front porch steps first and he followed closely behind, with his left hand on the small of my back. His touch sent shivers down my spine and I never wanted him to let go of me. As we got to the car I noticed Jaime holding the passenger door open for me. I was getting into the car when Jaime walked up the back door and jumped in. Tony closed my door for me and walked around the car to the driver’s side. We pulled out of my driveway and starting heading towards who knows where.

“So how did the writing for the album go?” I asked as Tony drove. “It went pretty well. It was mostly filled with us playing around on our instruments.” He said looking at me quickly. “Hey, I didn’t know you had a side cut Jenn.” He said when we stopped at a red light and he turned to look at me closely. “Oh, yeah. I normally cover it with my hair but I let it show on special occasions, such as tonight.” “Oh alright.” Tony started drumming his finger on the steering wheel. He seemed really nervous. “So I have to say, you guys clean up pretty well. You’re both looking really handsome tonight.” I said as I turned to face Jaime in the back seat. “Why thank you, miss. It’s all for our pretty lady friend.” He answered with a wink. I laughed and turned back around. We talked until we finally arrived at a small restaurant. It was really tiny but it looked fancy as hell. There were lights decorating it and it was a bit far from the city. Tony parked the car in the small parking lot and got out of his seat. He walked around the car and opened my door as Jaime got out of the backseat. Jaime lent out his hand to help me out of the car and I gladly accepted it. Tony closed the door behind me and Jaime placed my right arm through his left. He looked at Tony and Tony walked up to my left side and offered me his arm as well. I laced my arm through his and together my boys led me inside the building. We stopped once inside the front door. A lady looked up from a podium before us. Tony spoke up first, “Table for Perry and Preciado?” The lady nodded smiling. “Right this way please.” “Okay Jenn. You need to close your eyes now, alright? No peaking allowed!” Jaime said as we started walking. I agreed and shut my eyes real tight. “Here’s your table.” I heard the lady say. “Alright Jenn. Open your eyes.” I heard Tony whisper in my ear. I opened them and I was shocked. “Surprise!” Everyone yelled at the same time. The table was full. Vic, Mike, Jaxin, Natalie, Kristi, and Leila were all sitting in a large table. I gasped. “Oh my gosh, you guys are so lame! I love you all!” I pulled both Tony and Jaime in for a hug and they both kissed my forehead. “We love you too, babygirl.” I heard Tony say. “We really wanted to surprise you.” Jaime continued. “Well, you sure as hell did.” I laughed.

Everyone at the table stood up and gave me hugs and kisses while they wished me a happy birthday. Once everyone was done, Tony took my hand and led me to an empty chair. He pulled it out for me to take a seat and I thanked him. He took the empty seat next to me and Jaime sat in front of us. I was so happy. I looked over at Kristi and Leila. “How come you guys didn’t tell me anything?” I asked. Leila just shrugged while Kristi said, “You didn’t tell us that you met Jaxin. I guess now we’re even.” Everyone at the table laughed and I agreed.
