11|「Bruises」

"Oh my Gord, Lesley! What the hell happened?!" Kagura asked, her voice is filled with concern. She has been asking me the same question over and over again.

I sighed. "I'm fine, Kagura. Thanks for your concern, though," I replied, even though I'm not really fine.

"If you say so..." she said, then, her gaze moved towards my legs. She gasped. "Oh my, Lesley! What happened to your legs?!" she panicked again.

She pointed to my legs. I stared it, and noticed that the bruises got worse. "Ah, this? It's because Gusion accidently kicked my leg yesterday," I explained.

Kagura's eyebrow furrowed, as a frown formed on her face. "And why didn't he care about it? He's your boyfriend..." Kagura said as she eyed the bruises.

"He... Only care about Angela yesterday..." I mumbled, almost inaudible. "What the heck?! What kind of boyfriend is he?!" Kagura said.

Layla went towards us. "Hey, what happened?" she asked. Kagura told her everything, and I mean, EVERYTHING.

"What the?! Lesley, I swear to Gord, if Gusion ever hurts you, I will smack this korean freak's face with my damn cannon. Tell me if he did!" Layla said as she left the classroom.

Probably she is going to rampage Gusion. I smiled a bit because of Layla's reaction. I'm glad that I have friends like them.

"Huwaaah~!" Angela shouted as she ran cheerfully. Gusion smiled, as he ran behind the short girl.

I was left behind, and all I can do is watching them. I can't really run, because my legs hurt as hell everytime I moved them.

"Lesley? What's wrong? Usually, you'll be in the first place!" Angela asked, as she slowed her pace. Angela was in the first place, while Gusion is the second, and I'm the last.

"U-uh... Nothing!" I replied. "Oh... Okay, then!" Angela said as she quickened her pace again. Gusion didn't even bother to look at me.

Gusion... Is the view behind you not as good as the view in front of you? Hm?

I sighed. My legs... I can't do it anymore... I lifted my head, and saw that Gusion already passed Angela, with a smirk on his face.

While Angela is panting, trying to chase Gusion. "Just try to keep up with me!" I heard Gusion yelled at Angela, as he continued to run.

"Grr, you!" Angela yelled back as she throw both of her hands in the air, and ran faster. The two kept on running faster and faster, until they're no longer in sight.

I'm pretty sure that they're already in the hall. I panted, as I tried to ran faster so that I would be able to catch up with them.

But of course, the bruises on my legs won't let me to do so. The pain became worse than before, and so, I fell, almost face planted on the ground.

Thank goodness, I managed to stop my face from kissing the ground using my hands and my knees. But, my palms were bleeding, because they hit the ground quite hard.

At least, my knees are okay, because I used my training pants. Without realizing it, tears started to form in the corner of my eyes.

I quickly wiped it, before somebody will see. But still, tears kept on dropping from my eyes. I let out a few noise of pains.

Why? It seems like there's something that always holding me back. What's my fault? Why can't I be the one?

Am I selfish? All I wanted is a happy ending for me and him...

Or... Are we not meant to be together?
