After Lightning Struck (ON HOLD)

7. The Next Day

Taylor

We walked through the garage and into the kitchen. I turned on a light and said, “I’m going to go change out of these clothes. You can do whatever... You know where everything is so feel free to do whatever."

He said, “Okay, cool!"

I went to my room and put on some dry clothes. I put on my blue tank and black shorts. I then went into my bathroom; took off my makeup, and put my hair up into a loose bun. Then I went back down to the kitchen where I left Jay.

“So what movie do you want to watch," I said as I was walking back into the kitchen.

“I have decided between two," he said. “I feel like watching a war movie... So I want to watch either Flyboy's, or Pearl Harbor."

“Cool. I love them both so the decision is sincerely yours."

“Well that doesn't give me very much help!”

"I know... Sorry!"

“Ok, I choose Pearl Harbor!"

"I will go put it in the blue-ray player, and you can finish making the popcorn and Ice Cream Sundaes," I said.

“That sounds awesome to me!"

I went into the living room and turned on the 50 inch HD screen TV with the remote. Then knelt on the ground and turned on the blue-ray player. I put in the movie, and then I yelled over to Jay, “Okay I am ready whenever you are!"

“Ok I will be out there in a minute," he yelled back.

I went and sat on our couch. It is brown, big, very soft, and comfortable. I forgot the remote on the table and motioned for it to come over to me.

"I will never get use to seeing that," Jay said with his arms full of the food.

I grabbed the remote and said," It took me awhile too, but I'm pretty use to it now. It's also the only spell I have really tried; besides the freezing spell."

He had a huge grin on his face and said, “So are you going to put on the movie."

“Yeah." I said. I pressed the play button and the movie started. Jay handed me my ice cream and I dug in immediately. I could taste the thick creamy chocolate ice cream with light, fluffy whipped cream, chocolate sprinkles and a cherry. Yum! It tasted so good. "This is so good as always, thanks." 

"Your welcome," he replied. "I can make some pretty good ice cream sundaes."

"Yes you can," I smiled back at him.

About 1/3 the way through I became very sleepy. I muttered sleepily, "Umm I'm getting very tired don't be surprised... If I fall asleep. And you can spend the night if you want too..." I placed my head on his lap and I fell asleep.

Jay

I finished the movie, and she was asleep by now. I put her in my arms, and carried her up the stairs to her room. I tucked her in her bed and said, “Good Night, I love you." Then kissed her gently on the cheek.

I went back down to the living room and laid back down on the couch with the blanket she had out. It was harder for me to get to sleep. There were so many thoughts running through my mind. We have been sleeping at eachother's houses since we were so little. Every time when her parents would have to work overnight she would stay with my family and now tonight it felt so different. I have been falling for this girl since I was 6 years old. I don't know how much longer I can hold it in. I need to tell her... I will tell her before our next birthday.
