Angel of Pein

chapter seventeen

 Scarlett's pov

        Voices. What are those voices. I can here them but I can not understand what they are saying. Are they talking in another language? 

        Slowly my eyes fluttered open and I saw many blurry figures in black and red. Why are they all dressed the same? One of the figures noticed my eyes open and walked to kneel down in front of me talking in that same weird language, what are they saying? I blinked my eyes a couple of times to try and clear them of the fuzziness, it faded and I sat up and shaking my head to clear it. " -do to her." Their words began to make sense as they argued with each other. "I didn't do anything I don't know why she is not responding." "Calm down its probably just the drugs in her system." Drugs? Did they inject something into me? They must have that's why I feel so weird. I jumped up into a crouching position, my whole body was tensed and my wings were sticking out, I forced what chakra I had to my hands forming a blade in each. Everyone in the room jumped back in surprise. "Hey Scarlett calm down your fine your safe now nothing can hurt you." 

        No way was I going to believe this man he put drugs in me. Before he could get a chance to attack I lunged at him and pushed him to the ground stabbing him in the shoulder, then rolling off him I swiped at the next one closest to me spinning around I grabbed the sword I had left in the mans shoulder and used it to follow through with a slice to the next closest person. I have to get out of here. I spun and hit another one in the head with the hilt of the sword knocking him to the ground. I wont kill them not yet I will wait until I am out and then bomb the place. Heading for the next person I saw a flash of blonde before I was slammed to the ground. Change that I will kill them now who cares if I go down with them both of my blades dissolved and started to change into little birds just as I finished them and went to throw them into the air the one that tackled me grabbed my hands pulling them apart and then slammed them to the ground. "SCARLETT STOP IT!" 

        Breathing hard I looked up seeing the familiar long blonde hair and blue eye of my brother. "D-Deidara?" I managed to choke out despite my sore throat.

        "Your fine Scarlett we're back at the hide out Ryu is dead he can't get to you, not anymore," 

        I broke out in tears and slipped out of his hold hugging him tight to me. "I am so sorry this is all my fault if i had not gone outside this would not have happened." 

        "It's fine." 

        "Damn I don't think I ever want to take you on in a fight." looking over Deidara's shoulder I saw Hidan rubbing the top of his head I gave him a small smile of apology then scanned the room of the other occupants Kisame had a slash across his stomach, Kakuzu had one going from his right shoulder to his hip, I then took notice of Pein standing there looking at me with a small smile on his lips, when I looked at him he removed his hand from his shoulder and showed it to me. Twisting out of Deidara's tight grip I rushed to him and gave him a hug "I'm sorry." 

        "Oh so he gets a hug and a sorry and we just get the cold shoulder, we had more damage then him- umpf. Hey why'd you hit me!" I ignored them and snugged against him. 

        "I don't want you to ever scare us like that again."

        I nodded letting more tears come out of my eyes "Come on you need to go back to sleep."

        "B-but I just woke up."

      "I know that but you have barely any chakra left and you are still fighting off the drugs in your system."

        "ok"

        Pein picked me up and walked me to the bed laying me down, when he went to get back up I stopped him by grabbing his sleeve. "stay."

        "I have to go and get this patched up, but I will be back after that."

        He bent down and gave my forehead a kiss then got up and walked out the door with the others following behind him.

        About thirteen minutes later he came back in and laid down, pulling me into his chest. "I love you."

        "I love you too."
