“Stupid Steve with his stupid hair…” Tyler murmured under his nose as he flicked pebbles with his fingers.
The boy glanced at his wrist watch nervously every ten seconds, they’ve been in the house for five minutes and it already felt like an eternity. Tyler have never been so nervous in his life, it was like tap-dancing on hot coals. Tyler just couldn’t stay still in one place. The boy tried acting casually and act as if he was waiting for someone. He would’ve checked his phone if he had one. Now he just had to stand there awkwardly staring at his crappy plastic watch.
Tyler felt stupid. Stupid for letting himself get involved with this and stupid to be missing out all the fun. Don’t get me wrong, Tyler wasn’t a criminal but sometimes he liked having a little fun too. Like… Light vandalism and defacing currency by drawing strategically placed tiny dicks.
Tyler decided to wait a little a bit longer. By a little bit longer he meant twenty seconds. He sneaked around the house and slipped through the open window.
“Guys…” Tyler squinted his eyes to adjust to the complete darkness surrounding him “Guys!”
Tyler looked around and listened, it was as if Steve and the other dorks have vanished leaving Tyler completely alone. The boy just shrugged it off, they were probably upstairs or something. The boy staggered around the unfamiliar space looking for a source of light that could help him see better. All the boy could find was an old switch that turned on an old dusty lamp that lit up only a small area of the room. Tyler looked around in awe, even if it was still dark he could see how nice the house was. Compared to the dump Tyler loved in any house was nice but this one was just out of this world.
Tyler tried not to touch anything but his fingers twitched seeing a display of expensive watches right in front of his nose just waiting to be touched. The watches glistened in the dim light like inviting the boy to try them on. Tyler let out a soft sigh, if he just puts them all back no one will ever notice that someone has been snooping around.
The boy ditched his plastic wristwatch and tried one of the big golden ones. The brunet rotated his wrists admiring the accessory that probably cost more than his whole life. If Tyler wanted to buy something like that he would’ve had to sell three kidneys and he only had two. The boy posed with the watch in front of a small mirror. The watch reminded him of someone, like he already saw something wearing it.
“Oh, sick!” Tyler gasped when he noticed a glass of Jack Daniel's of a glass tray. It was half empty so no one would ever even notice the difference if Tyler took a sip. The boy quickly opened the bottle and pressed it against his lips. A burning bitter taste filled his mouth and slowly slid down his throat. Tyler shuddered from the sensation and finally managed to swallow the bitter substance. He wiped his lips and took another sip. No one would notice, right It was like three or five or ten shots… Ten shots of whiskey and a Tyler who never drank alcohol in his life was not a good combination. The boy quickly out the bottle back down and turned of the light. He stood as still as he could to listen to the noises outside. It sounded like a car about to pull into the drive way. Tyler almost choked on his own tongue, everything was so blurry, even the darkness was spinning. He had to warn Steve, if they got caught all the blame would go on Tyler.
“Guys!” Tyler whispered hoping that they would go downstairs and run
And then a few seconds later Tyler realized that Steve and his pals never went into the house. Tyler gritted his teeth and cursed himself under his breath for being so stupid and gullible. This was just a plan to get him in trouble.
The boy rushed to the open window and stumbled outside. He managed to close it before running the hell away. The boy couldn’t even see his own hands let alone the road, he kept slipping and tripping on stuff that wasn’t even there. Somehow, he ended up back at the house and collapsed into the bushes.
“I’m okay…” Tyler giggled to himself and a soft hiccup erupted from his chest
Everything was suddenly hilarious to him and getting up was the hardest task ever.
“Tyler?”
The boy shook his head thinking that he’s hallucinating or something. A soft hand shook his shoulder and helped him to get up.
“Tyler are you okay?” a familiar voice echoed through the haze, Tyler blinked lazily and let out a snort
“Okey-dokey.” He giggled and swayed to the sides, two string arms helped him keep his balance
Tyler reached forward and gripped something incredibly firm and warm. The boy chuckled again, what could this mysterious material be? Keeping his eyes open was hard but the brunet managed to lift his eyelids for a few seconds so he could take a look at his “savior”.
The man in front of him looked incredibly worried. The boy tried as hard as he could to recognize the face but it was so far away and his vision blurred with every blink. The boy shook his head to clear his thoughts and glanced at the hand that was gripping his. A golden watch hugged the man’s wrist. A fancy watch. A watch that Tyler had already seen before…
“Tyler are you drunk?” Josh lightly shook the boy trying to get him out of the haze, suddenly the world didn’t seem so funny anymore to Tyler
Shit.
