23 hours remaining

It was weird. All I could see was black. I couldn't open my eyes no matter how hard I tried, couldn't move. It was like being paralysed or in a coma, seeing as when someone was talking. I can hear them. I just can't do anything. Times I could feel Connor dragging the knife blade down various areas of my body, I could feeling the burning pain. But couldn't say anything, couldn't scream.

JOE'S POV

It was around 6am, I hadn't sleep a wink. Police had found out, due to disturbance of a few things, I wasn't really paying attention, that she had gone missing between 5am and 6am. It had been a whole day, I have heard of these things, an hour after someone goes missing, it's half as likely they will be found alive, two hours, half again and so on so forth. A day. I had Everyone, Graham, Debbie, and even people such as Aaron and Robert, telling me she'd be okay. I was just preparing myself for the worst, after all, it's very unlikely she'd be found in one piece.

DEBBIE'S POV

At 10am Myself, Mum, Noah, Cain and Chas were all sat on the sofas, and kitchen chairs at Mums getting questioned by the police. At this point it had been over 24 hours since Kennedy had disappeared.

"So, Miss Dingle. When was the last time you had seen or spoken to your daughter" one of the cops asked Charity.

"Well the day before she went missing, I asked her if she wanted to go grab a coffee in the late afternoon, she couldn't make it though" Charity said, her voice full of sadness.

"Okay. The reason for that being that she was over at Home Farm with Joseph Tate?" The cop asked, my eyes widened and I could see Chas shift in her seat. Myself knowing that they both wanted to tell Mum they were back together in their own time, I had to think quick.

"Um no? Why would be with him" Mum spat the police officer giving her a look of confusion.

"Her and Joe broke up ages ago. She had been over yesterday getting some stuff she had left there, she rang me saying she had drunk a few glasses of wine and felt really tired so it was best for her to not drive back. She told me she'd be straight home the next morning" I say, sounding very convincing, charity's nose turned up, looking disgusted. The cop however, unconvincingly nodded.

"Please. Just find my sister".

THIRD PERSON POV

Joe was brought out of his thoughts as he looked up to see Debbie, she gave him a look of sympathy as she met his eyes, they were bloodshot red, and had tear stained cheeks. For the first time in ages, she sat next to him and pulled him into a hug.

"We will find her Joe"
