"Good morning," Y/N says sweetly to her mother, taking a sip from the glass of juice that was set down for her.

"Morning sweetheart," her mom replies, "Can you get the twins up for me?"

The teenager furrows her eyebrows at her mother, "Why do I have to do it?"

"Because I said so," her mother says simply, causing Y/N to groan.

"That isn't even a valid answer!" Y/N rolls her eyes and walks back up the stairs, entering the room that the two children slept. Letting out a sigh, she walked over to the two beds, "Wake up you lazy asses, it's the last day of school!"

The two kids didn't even move. The teenager shook them each gently, slowly lulling them out of there slumber. Once the two were awake, Y/N grabbed them their outfits and laid the clothes out for them. She ran back down the stairs and sat back at the island on a bar stool.

"Are they awake?" her mother inquires causing Y/N to nod.

"Any word from dad?" Y/N asks, causing her mom to stop what she was doing.

"No, still no word from dad," her mom answers blankly.

The teen nods with a frown, "Well I better get going."

"Baby, you know—"

"Yeah I know," Y/N interrupts, "He needs time. Just thought eight years would be enough time."

"I'm sorry," her mom replies glumly.

"It's fine," Y/N assures, "I'm gonna be late."

She hops off her stool and leaves the house, replying to the 'i love you' her mother shouted at her.
