I looked over to the origin of the sound, as did Finn, and I knew I hated myself completely when I saw who it was. Nick and Eric stood in the doorway watching us. I internally battled if my mortification would trump my injuries and allow me to run out. I tried to wiggle my toes at least with no success.

"That's my boy!" Eric cheers and I prayed that my leg was magically healed in that moment but it was not.

"Dad what are you doing here?" Finn asks, I could tell he was embarrassed. I looked over to see Nick silently laughing off to the side. I make a mental note to punch Nick once I finish having anxiety.

"I was checking on the girl who made my son fall in love and look what I walk in on!" Eric exclaims.

"Mr. Wolfhard, I swear—" I began.

"Don't sweat it," he says, "Doesn't matter to me as long as you use protection." At the comment Nick lost it and laughed so hard that he fell backwards into a chair, holding his stomach.

I heard Finn mutter, "Oh my fucking god." And I died inside. Eric looked as if he were waiting for a response. I prayed for God to send down an angel and carry me up to heaven or even drop me down to hell, anything was better than this. As if my prayers were heard, Nicole walked in.

"Well hello," she says, "Quite the crowd, putting on a show?"

"You should've seen those two—" Nick jokes.

"Alright!" I exclaim, "I was just talking with Finn."

"I didn't know talking involved sucking each other's faces off," Eric says. Finn had his eyes shut and just sat, I wish I could do that. I saw Eric opening his mouth, probably to crack another joke, I mentally prepared myself to crack off my leg so I would have to be rushed to an operating room but there was no need.

"Alright I think it's time for Bozo the clown and his assistant, Giggles, to get out. I need to take Y/N's temperature and check a few things in private." Nick stopped laughing and Eric frowned.

"No fun!" Eric whines.

Nicole sighed, "Are you seven? Get out."

"Fine," Eric huffs, "Lets go, Finn."

"Finn can stay," I say, "Finn's alright." Finn grabbed my hand and I cracked a smile. Nicole ushered the two family members out and Finn's eyes opened.

"I'm so sorry that just happened," Finn said.

Nicole spoke before I could, "What was with him? He sounded like a child."

"He's been like that recently," Finn replies. I furrow my eyebrows and Finn kisses my cheek, I was very confused. When I texted Finn he described Eric as the perfect dad.  I shake away the thoughts as Nicole takes my temperature and looked at a few charts, she went on a call and left. I smiled at Finn but he stared as if I weren't there.

"Finn," I call to him. He snaps out of his daze and focuses on me, shooting me a smile.

"I have a plan," he says.

"And that is?" I press.

"When you get out of here I'm taking you on a date," he says, "This kissing crap isn't enough."

I lift an eyebrow, "My kisses aren't enough for you?" He rolls his eyes and presses his lips to mine. He shakes his head.

"Real date soon," he says, "Get healed quickly."

"I'll try," I giggle.
