I paced outside the door. This was it, I was finally meeting Y/N. In a hospital. After she was in a car crash. I sighed and continued my movements back and forth, anxiety filling my body. I look over at Ayla, Jack and Malcolm; they were completely fine. Nick rushes over and puts a hand on my shoulder and I look up at him.

"You're gonna be fine," Nick says, "You've performed in front of thousands of people before."

"It's different this time," I say, "I'm not performing for a crowd, this time it's for Y/N."

Nick nods, "She'll love it."

"But I lied to her," I argue, "I told her I was someone that I'm not."

"You're the—"

"Finn Wolfhard?" I interrupt, "I'm aware, but that means nothing."

Nick furrows his brows, "Of course it does."

"No that can get me a free movie or some random chick," I say, "But Y/N isn't like that."

Nick sighs, "Finn, do you like Y/N?"

I shrug, "She just means a lot to me I guess."

He nods at my answer, "You go in there and tell her who you are, no music."

"But—"

"You guys can sing right after you tell her the truth," Nick says.

I nod, "Yeah, I wouldn't want to overwhelm her." Nick pats my shoulder again and smiles.

"Go get 'em tiger," he jokes. I roll my eyes and smile, taking a deep breath I step towards the door and put my hand on the knob.
