harry and niall are sitting in a booth, the two across from each other. they haven't started any conversation since niall picked harry up and are sipping on two milkshakes.

"so, uh... is this a date?"

"what?"

"is this is a date, niall?"

"do you think i'd honestly take you on a date?"

"well, i just assumed-"

"i mean, how long have i known you?!"

"please calm down, people are staring..."

"no! do you know how many times i tell people to meet me up somewhere and they instantly assume it's a date? i'm surprised you didn't order one milkshake and have two straws so we can share it!"

"i'm sorry-"

"i thought you were different, harry styles, but you're not!'

niall was about to leave but harry grabbed his wrist from across the table and pulled niall back in the seat.

"i'm relieved this is a not-date, actually."

"oh, shut it, you liar."

"i know you're probably bitter about this--"

"oh, incredibly bitter about this. go on."

"but i think it's cool that we can finally have a good face to face conversation."

"hey harry?"

"yeah?"

"you said your sister is four years older than you, right?"

"yeah..."

"and you also said she was gorgeous, right?"

"yeah..."

"is she single?"

"i think so. niall, what's this about?"

"set me up with her."

"what? n--"

"i know it sounds weird, but please! i haven't been with a girl in ages!"

"no, but you've been with guys."

"how did you-"

"save it, niall. god, i'm an idiot."

harry was now the one rising out of his seat. niall was in no rush to have him stay, though.

"you're not an idiot, harry."

"yeah, but you're gay, niall!"

"i am not!"

"you date guys! you sleep with guys! you play with guys' hearts! what's the keyword in each of those niall?"

"stop, please."

"guys!"

"i'm bi-curious."

"oh, i don't think you're curious about anything."

harry practically slammed money down on the table. he made his way out the door.

"wait! you're my ride!"

he ignored niall. once he made it to his car, he whispered to himself, "that couldn't have gone any worse in any less time."
