"harry, you haven't talked to us in a week."

"come on. get out of bed."

"niall already told us what happened. how it took two minutes to completely ruin the date."

silence.

"niall's not upset in the slightest, harry. i don't get why you are. it's not like you were actually on a date."

"i thought i was."

"yeah, liam. he actually told me he assumed it was a date."

"that's stupid! you barely know niall!"

"well, in his defense, niall did kind of give off the 'it's a date' vibe."

"whatever."

"do you want us to bring you some ice cream harry?"

silence.

"you can't ignore us forever, you know."

"i can try."

"you can't lay in bed forever, either."

"is that a challenge?"

"get up. stop beating yourself up over ten minutes of your life that didn't turn out the way you wanted it to."

"he hates me, liam."

"probably."

"liam!"

there was a smacking sound and that got harry to finally sit up. liam was rubbing his cheek and louis was practically fuming.

"i don't think he hates you harry. i can understand him maybe not wanting to talk to you, but he doesn't hate you. i don't think anyone can hate you."

"you don't understand how downhill it went."

"niall told us that you assumed it was a date and he got mad and so you got mad. and then you stormed out, leaving niall to pay the bill and he had to call us to drive him home."

"he lied to you!"

"what?"

"niall doesn't lie. if there's one thing i know about him, it's that."

"oh, but he he lied to me and he lied to you liam. first of all, i got mad because niall flipped out about me asking if it was a date, yeah. but then he asked me if i could hook him up with my sister!"

"gemma?"

"do i have any other bloody sisters?!"

"oh my gosh."

"but, niall is gay..."

"oh, no, he denied that."

"is that why you left?"

"yeah, it is! he tried to cover up his past with boys by labeling himself 'bi-curious.'"

"what a load of bull!"

"and i left, yeah, but i put money on the table so he could pay for the meal! i guess he kept it and used it for something else."

"seriously?"

"i'm sorry for getting mad at you the past week, harry. all the time."

"it's fine liam. you're closer to him than any of us are."

"harry?"

"what?"

"do you finally admit to having a crush on niall?"

harry nodded in response and got out of bed to take a shower.
