niall and harry were on their way to eat lunch with liam and louis. the car ride was awkward and silent because of the events of last night. when they finally arrived at the restaurant they were meeting up at, niall got out of the car quickly.

a little too quickly.

"hey you two!"

"niall, harry! nice to see you boys. liam and i were wondering when you'd show up."

"we weren't late or anything. harry made sure we got here as fast as we could."

"that doesn't sound like harry. he usually takes his nice sweet time."

"yeah, well i didn't today. alright?"

"geez, say no more. i can already tell you're in a bad mood."

"i'm not in a bad mood."

"he's in a bad mood."

"be quiet, niall!"

a waitress came over and niall's jaw dropped once he saw her. harry didn't get why. sure, she was pretty and all. nice brown hair, big brown eyes, and even bigger boobs. harry didn't think she was special or anything.

"hi, i'm celeste and i'll be serving you guys today! er, what can i get you?"

"your number."

celeste raised an eyebrow at niall while harry silently fumed.

"he's kidding. can i get a water?"

"same here."

"niall needs water. he's thirsty."

"ha ha, you're so funny, liam. i'll have a lemonade, please."

"and for you?"

harry snapped out of his angry thoughts.

"uh... i'll have a coke."

"great! i'll have your drinks ready for you soon."

when she left, niall let out a huge breath.

"dude! did you see her? wow, she was a stunner! her face is gorgeous. and so is the rest of her body, if you get what i'm saying."

"my face is gorgeous, but i don't see you drooling over it."

"hush up, louis."

liam gave harry a side glance and noticed his bad posture and the nasty look on his face. he shot him a soft and pitiful look.

"uh, did you guys watch the football match last night?"

"there was a match last night? who was playing?"

"chelsea and liverpool."

"oh, not that important."

"what were you guys doing last night that made you miss the match?"

"my friend zayn came over. nothing special."

harry wanted to say that niall felt up his chest, but he wouldn't be that type of person. for now.

"ah. well, let's take a look at the menu."

"i already know what i'm getting. i practically lived at this place in my high school years."

"same. the turkey sub?"

"the turkey sub!"

liam and louis high-fived each other.

"well, i'm the new boy. i don't know what there is."

"i'd recommend any of their pasta dishes. they're really good."

"thank you, harry. that helps a lot."

"yep."

"oh, niall's girl is coming back!"

niall shot his head up from the menu and gave a smile, closing it. harry wanted to gag.

"the waters... lemonade... and coke. okay, do you guys know what you want to order?"

"i'd like a big serving of you."

"i'm sorry, but that's off the menu."

liam coughed in his hand to hide a laugh while louis just let out a snort. harry bit his lip in concentration, watching what niall was doing, making sure he wouldn't pull anything else.

"come on. can't you make an exception for a poor irish soul?"

"niall, back off."

"i'm sorry. you are really beautiful, though."

"yeah, my boyfriend tells me that every day."

"you really can't just give me your number?"

"i can give you what you want to order."

"that's no fun."

"my job isn't fun. life isn't fun. getting hit on by creepy dudes isn't fun. i'm not complaining about it, though. what can i get for you to order?"

"i'll have the turkey sub, no cheese."

"i'll have the turkey sub as well, but keep the cheese. in fact, if you could add extra cheese then that would be lovely."

"i think i can do that. and for you?"

"i'll have the classic ravioli."

"good choice. your meals will be ready soon."

as she left, niall threw his hands up.

"she skipped me!"

"you were being creepy."

"that's no reason to skip me."

"i think it is."

"don't blame a guy for wanting a girl."

"don't blame a guy for wanting a guy."

harry added the last part under his breath, but niall heard him. he gave harry an angry look and harry stood up from his seat.

"you can have my ravioli. i'm going home."

"what? why?"

"i'm not feeling good."

"bullshit."

"wait, are you going back to my place or back to your house?"

"whichever i get to first."

harry tried to stand up, but liam grabbed his wrist.

"you can't keep running away from your problems."

"watch me."

"don't worry liam, this isn't the first time he's left me at lunch."

harry tried to ignore niall's snarky comment, but it hurt. it really did.
