"Can I come to work with you?" Ian asked as we went downstairs to have breakfast with June, Neal had made sure that I was comforted this morning and I couldn't appreciate him more. He really was my rock in times like these.
"I never knew you were that interested" I said surprisingly, as June laughed and I knew she agreed with me. Ever since I was little Ian was the out going one singing in shows and dancing in productions and most importantly acting in drama performances and musicals. But he had never really been that interested in my FBI work. When I was going through training in London he hated it as I had to get up every morning at 4am and run a mile and sometimes I would wake him up beforehand just to aggravate him. Y'know brother sister love.
"It's really interested me now." He said looking at me, as I rolled my eyes.
He's probably interested because he wants to look at people like Caffrey for a day.
"Okay fine." I said in a defeated way, and Ian smirked "be ready in half an hour and we'll leave for work." To be honest I was half surprised that Ian got up this early but I guess jet lag had a lot to pay in for it. Thank god Ian had finished with filming otherwise he wouldn't have been able to come with us. I do aggravate him but he's my older brother and I love him.
I made my way up the stairs as Caffrey followed and ran straight to the bathroom to quickly put makeup on, as Caffrey closed the door behind him. I could see a bruise was forming from where the incident happened and knew Ian was going to question me later. I quickly covered it up with the usual foundation, concealer, and then my normal makeup routine, including my red lipstick. Girls gotta have a trademark.
"You look beautiful." Caffrey complimented as I walked to the wardrobe to get changed and I winked at him still in his old flannel that I had now adopted completely. But it was upsetting me as it was beginning to smell less and less like Caffrey the more I was wearing it. I found my new black dress that I had bought not long ago, it wasn't a body con but a fit and flare, with tee-shirt sleeves. Which I teamed up with a muted pink jacket.
While I was getting changed, I saw Caffrey look at me at the corner of my eye and I turned to look at him. "What?" I said as I was tying up my dress.
"I am just so damn lucky." He said still in his plaid trousers, his abs glistening in the morning sun.
You're telling me.
"Stop distracting me!" I laughed. "Get ready" and Neal saluted me mockingly.
"Anything you say boss."

"Ian, this is my boss peter, peter this is Ian." I said as I introduced Ian to peter and they smiled at each other. Peter said it was completely fine that Ian came in today as long as he didn't distract me and it was a pleasure to meet my family which was always great."Nice to finally meet you." Ian politely said as he shook Burke's hand, and peter smiled. "Lily's told me all about you"
"All good I hope?" Peter asked chuckling and I remembered when I got drunk on skype one night and showed him the photograph of peter with a moustache.
Shit.
"Oh yeah, great things." He said smiling. Thank god. "Can I say you look better without the moustache, less like a Mario brother-"
"Anyway!" I shouted, as peter looked at me shocked as Neal stifled a laugh. "Let's go meet Jones shall we?" I said ushering Ian out of Peter's office as he gave me a look which I was sure meant more paperwork after the holidays.
