Chapter Fifteen: Iker Casillas' New Girlfriend

Aliona rolled her green eyes as she walked through the halls doing her rounds in Madrid Mountain Ridge Hospital; it had been two weeks since she had moved in with Iker and the world had discovered her relationship with the Goalkeeper.

Ever since the blonde had found her entire world turned upside down, those who hadn’t spoken with her before suddenly wanted to know her; her friends at the hospital were sudden at the knowledge that Aliona was dating a national champion and hero.

“So when do I get to meet him?” Tina asked making the blonde stop as she set down the chart that she had been carrying; Aliona glanced at her close friend, she knew that things had changed now that she was a WAG, something that she hated to be called.

“I don’t know… Iker’s busy with training,” the blonde said only telling a partial truth, Iker and the rest of Real Madrid had returned to training on the 18th of August as they prepared for the Supercopa de España against Barcelona on the 23rd.

Iker had begged Aliona to attend with the twins and the blonde hadn’t been able to say no when the twins got excited at being able to attend a football match for the first time.

“Well I want to meet him soon… any man that can make my best friend happy is okay with me,” Tina said making Aliona smile as her friend’s husband appeared and wrapped his arms around her; he kissed her cheek before he turned his attention to Aliona.

“Make sure that your boyfriend doesn’t mess up on Thursday… I’ve got money on Real Madrid to win,” Dr. Stephan Hunter said making Aliona nod as Tina glared at him; he flashed his wife an innocent smile making her roll her eyes before Daniel burst into the hospital.

Tina looked at her friend concerned as Daniel’s eyes narrowed in on Aliona, who crossed her arms and watched him as he stalked towards her; it was clear that he wasn’t happy about something.

“What the hell is this?” Daniel snapped before he slammed the morning newspaper into the counter next to Aliona, who didn't even flinch; she was used to his violent temper by now and wasn’t going to let him scare her.

Tina moved to her friend’s side as Stephan stepped forward incase Daniel hurt the blonde.

“It’s the morning newspaper,” Aliona said though she knew what he was really talking about; the front page was about her moving in with Iker and his bonding with the twins.

Daniel pursed his lips as he watched his ex-girlfriend, he didn't like the idea that she’d moved on with the footballer; he hated it that Iker was spending time with his children and that Aliona was moving on from him.

“Why don’t you go home and calm down Daniel?” Stephan suggested as another doctor appeared, he looked concerned at the sight of Daniel standing in the hospital.

Aliona glanced at him and offered him a reassuring smile, Dr. David Santos had been the one who had helped her after the last time Daniel had been violent with her.

Daniel pursed his lips as he realised that he wasn’t going to get what he wanted while Aliona was here, he looked at his ex-girlfriend before he turned on his heel and stormed out of the hospital.

“Mama,” Lola greeted excitedly as Aliona stepped into the house when she returned from work that evening, the blonde smiled as she hugged her daughter before she noticed that Liam wasn’t alone.

“Hola,” Aliona said as she brushed some hair from her face as she noticed Xavi Hernández was standing in her living room; the Spaniard chuckled as Liam moved to greet his mother excitedly.

“Iker invited me for dinner… I hope you don’t mind,” Xavi said making Aliona nod her head as she tried to wrap her head around a famous footballer willingly standing in her home.

The blonde swallowed as she tried to remember how to speak, she’d had a long day at work and this wasn’t what she expected to come home to.

“Sorry… I’m Aliona,” the blonde said making Xavi nod, she remembered that Iker had mentioned that Xavi was one of his best friends and that the rivalry between their clubs meant little to them.

It was at that moment that Iker appeared, he grinned at the sight of his girlfriend before he moved to greet her; the blonde kissed her boyfriend briefly making him frown.

“I’ve just come home from a four hour surgery,” Aliona said making Iker nod understandable, he knew that while the blonde used the hospital’s cleaning policies after she had operated; she didn't feel right until she’d bathed or showered at home.

The twins disappeared back into the living room, while Xavi watched the couple; he was happy to see that Iker was indeed happy with Aliona, much more so than he had been with Sara.

“So what was the surgery for?” Xavi asked as he attempted to move the awkward silence that they had fallen under, he could see that the couple cared for one another and that was all that mattered to him.

“Car accident… the patient went straight through the front window, idiot was doing 120mph and wasn’t wearing a seatbelt; his car’s wrapped around a tree on the N-320,” Aliona said making the two Spaniards stare at her; it surprised them how easily the blonde spoke about stuff like this, they supposed that was what she was trained to do in these cases.

“I’ll go and shower,” Aliona said making Iker nod as she quickly disappeared upstairs making Xavi smile at his best friend.

Sara pursed her lips as she stared at the newspaper that she’d picked up that morning, her heart broke inside as she re-read the headline; she hadn’t expected for him to move on so quickly.

Afron smiled as he leant against the kitchen door before he moved towards her, even after how things had ended with Iker; he had been surprised that Sara had asked him out.

“Evening amor,” the model said as he pressed a kiss to Sara’s cheek, the reporter closed her eyes as she tried to imagine that it was Iker; but it was hopeless, cheating on the Spaniard was the worst mistake of her life.

“How about we go out to dinner?” Afron said as he took the newspaper from Sara and binned it, the reporter frowned as she stared at him for a moment; she wondered what she had ever seen in him when she’d fallen into his bed.

“Can’t we just order take-out?” Sara asked making Afron frown, he couldn't understand why she was moping after the man whose heart that she’d ripped out without a second thought.

Afron shook his head as he moved towards Sara, who swallowed at the dark look that flickered over his face.

“No now go and make yourself look beautiful, I want to show the world my new girlfriend,” Afron said as he pecked her lips before he headed for the shower.

Sara swallowed as she watched him leave, she didn't know what it was but it was like she’d fallen into a nightmare; a nightmare meant for boring people like Iker’s new girlfriend, not hot-shot reporters like herself.
