That next day I opened the glass doors of Liberty High in a different way. I watched as people laughed and held hands and soon they would all be dead. I could stop this, could stop all this! But this would hurt my relationship with Tyler or the only friend I have here. And it's not like I didn't want the "gang" dead. I wanted Bryce dead. He made me scared to go to school and if it wasn't for Tyler I would have probably ended up like Hannah.
I walked to my locker and opened the locker door so it hid my face. I set my books that I was clenching to my chest. I grabbed my water bottle from inside and took a long sip. Then my bottle fell from my hands. I star up from the bottle and see Bryce leaning against the other locker and laughing. I looked down at my shoes which were soaked in water and my water bottle was splashed all over the ground.
"Bryce!" I screamed as I crouched to clean up the water. I picked up the soaked water bottle and threw it in the trash.
"Are you going to tell me about last night. How I practically had to chase you down. Also here's your shoe, y/n." Bryce explained with a smirk. I yanked the shoe from his grip and he laughed. I ran to the bathroom to get paper towels. And Tyler rushed down the hall with his camera slung to his chest. I ran out and started to clean up the water. Tyler started helping me clean up."Meet me in our area." Tyler winked as he got done cleaning up the mess. The area is, of course, the picture developing room. I was already late for the first period but sat down in history in time for our project. We were talking about the Civil War and were to make a presentation. Our teacher, Mr. Treyor, was picking groups. I crossed my fingers hoping I would get a decent partner. He read off names of people I didn't know.
"y/n and Jessica." Mr. Treyor announced. I glanced over at Jess who smiled at me. She was sweet sometimes but ever since she had been hanging out with Bryce she has changed. Everyone got in their groups and I sat next to Jess. I could smell some alcohol on her breath. We destructed what we were going to do for our presentation.
"You should have came to our party last night!" She exclaimed. I let out a sigh and then I smile, trying to act interested in this conversation.
"I know. I was just busy with a few things." I replied and she gave me a playful shove, I laughed awkwardly. After first period was over I had study hall. Which means I was making a trip to our special area. I made y way in and opened the door.
"Do you people know not to come in here!" Tyler yelled and I chuckled to myself. He turned around and saw it was me. I set my bag on the ground and noticed the pictures he was developing. They were of Hannah Baker. She looked so pretty in these pictures. Tyler hung up the pictures and stood back admiring them. Did he still have a crush on her?
"These are for the trial." He said as he hung up another picture. I stood there confused.
"Trail? For Hannah?" I asked and Tyler shook his head.
"Yeah, I'm testifying in a week. Also come here." Tyler replied and with a quick movement of his hand, I saw what he was pointing to. He was pointing to the same crate I saw at his house, the one with the guns. He opened it as I sat shyly on the bar stool. He pulled out not only guns but armor too like this was real. Tyler was shooting up the school. He pulled a gun and cocked it and I moved back as he aimed at the wall.
"I will finally get my revenge. They deserve it for all they have done, all those shoving me into lockers won't mean a thing anymore." Tyler said as he admired his crate. He looked at me with heart eyes, like, he knew I was scared of him. He set the stuff down and closed it and sitting next to me.
I could tell he knew what I was thinking.
"Tyler this isn't a good idea." I finally confessed and he grabbed my hand, interlocking our fingers. And I was right, this was a horrible idea. I don't want to see Tyler live his life in jail.
"I will wait then. Until the trail is over. And I'm int he clear." Tyler explained and I just shook my head looking at our hands. His finger started to trace a circle on my wrist. I pulled away. Unable to even look at him.
Girls like bad boys, but when your bad boy is going to shoot up the school who knows what will happen. I will probably be involved in this in some way. Tyler wasn't even my boyfriend yet, so I don't know why I'm so worried.
