*Flashback*

We were finishing up mid-trimester exams (A/n:Cause I'm great at naming things {same with historians}) and I just so happened to be the second person done. Well, I was actually the third person but because of a class decision, I was the second. I looked around the room and saw that Sakakibara had left the room. I decided to see where he went so I stood up and walked towards the front classroom door. Before I opened it, my teacher called on me.

"Ms, Arai," he said," Did you finish your exam?"

I smiled and nodded my head.

"Okay then," he said while walking towards my desk.

I opened the door to the classroom and walked out. I closed the door slowly and quietly behind me, making sure I didn't disturb the other students, and looked around. As I looked over at the east stairway and saw him talking to Misaki. Unfortunately, I was not allowed to interact with her for...... REASONS, so I could not tell her anything that was happening in my life. Also, for some reason whenever Sakakibara was talking to Misaki, people would avoid him. I found this stupid because we were told to pretend she wasn't there, yet they didn't realize that by avoiding her, they were actually acknowledging that she was there (Who else noticed this?).

Anyways, I walked over to where Sakakibara and Misaki were. When they noticed me coming over to them, I smiled.

 "Hey Sakaki!" I beamed.

Sakakibara looked at me, confused by the nickname, but then decided to ignore it.

"What are you doing out here, Arai-chan?" he asked.

"Well," I said once I got to where he was," I finished my exam and when I saw that you weren't in the classroom I decided to go look for you."

"Oh," he said," By the way, why'd you call me Sakaki?"

I thought for a second as I faced the windows in the hallway. My elbow was on the window seal as I looked out at the rainy sky.

"Well," I said after a few seconds," First off, it's easier to say than Sakakibara."

"I guess that's true," he said.

"And secondly, you know the story of Seito Sakakibara, right?" I asked.

Sakakibara nodded his head. Before I could speak again, we heard someone running in the hallways. I turned my head around to see a man running towards the door in the front of the classroom. He opened it and then said something I couldn't hear. I then saw my best friend, Yukari Sakuragi, come out of the room and say something to the man. She then walked over to the umbrella stand and grabbed her grey umbrella. She then ran over to the east stairway, or, where we were. But when she saw us, her eyes filled with fear and she turned around to run to the west stairway. We all looked at her confused, but then I started to worry.

"What was that about?" asked Sakakibara.

"I don't know," I said while I started to walk after her.

Before I knew it, I was running towards the stairway. I turned around once I got to the entrance of the stairway and started running down it. But for some reason I stopped when I heard the sound of something hitting the stairs. I tried to figure it out, but when I did I ran around the corner. And I did it just in time to see Yukari get impaled by an open umbrella.

I stood there, frozen in fear as I saw blood pour out of her throat and stain the umbrella. I heard the sound footsteps coming near as I stood there. In the corner of my eye, I saw the man from earlier and Sakakibara get to the entrance of the stairway. When their eyes landed on me, they started running over to me.

"Hey Arai-chan," I heard Sakakibara say," What happened?"

I didn't reply. I just stood there, scared. I had just seen my classmate and best friend die brutally. The two turned the corner and looked down at what happened, only to also become full of fear. As the man run up the stairs to get help, I could feel my legs shake. I collapsed under my own weight as tears poured out of my eyes. I could feel Sakakibara's gaze fall on me as I let out a loud scream.

*End of flashback*

I snapped out of my thoughts as I felt someone shake my right shoulder. I looked over at Nagisa, who was standing right next to me and had worry written all over his face. When I looked over at him, he sighed with relief.

"Finally," he said," I was trying to get your attention for a few minutes now. What were you thinking about?"

"It's probably nothing important," said Karma, who was on the other side of me.

I sighed and looked down at the floor of the train station. Right now, we were waiting for a train because Nagisa and Karma wanted to bring me somewhere. I didn't know where, since Karma wanted to surprise me, but I could tell it was too far to walk to.

"But it could be important to her," said Nagisa.

"She was probably just daydreaming," said Karma.

I turned my head to look at Karma to see that he was holding the napkin I drew on in his left hand.

"Why'd you bring that?" I asked while pointing to the napkin.

Karma looked down at the napkin, then at me.

"Because it's a good drawing," he said," And it could be used for blackmail for later."

 I sighed and looked down.

"I don't think that could be used as blackmail easily," I stated.

 Karma smirked.

 "Who knows," he said.

Suddenly, a train went zooming by us and started slowing down. Once it stopped, Karma and Nagisa started walking towards it.

 "Come on!" said Nagisa.

I nodded my head and followed them onto the train. Once we were on the train, we sat down in three open seats and waited for it to start. While we were waiting, I decided to ask something.

"Where exactly are we going?" I asked.

Karma looked at me and smirked.

"Our junior high," he stated," Kunugigaoka Junior High school."
