Natsuki's P.O.V.

I stood on the edge of the side walk while cars drove by. The streets were unusually crowded, and it was getting really late. The sun was no longer out and the sky was getting cloudy. It looked like it was about to rain. Which wasn't a good thing for me because I don't own a poncho and we all know how much I love umbrellas.

Earlier, I was hanging out with all of class 3-E. They're really fun people to be around, not to mention the teachers are pretty cool. But it also seems like they know about Yukari's death, which is something I don't know how to feel about.

We stayed at the cafe for a while, until 4 o'clock, before going to the park. There, everyone just talked or climbed trees or did other things. I just sat on the swings the entire time talking to Akari about how life has been for me. Everyone ended up leaving the park at about 7, but I ended up staying a little longer. I wanted to go through everything that happened today in my mind before I went home. That, sadly, took up about 3 hours. I guess I got to caught up in thought to realize that it had gotten late.

As I looked out at the cars, I felt someone's gaze fall on me. They stared at me for a few minutes before speaking.

 "Miss Arai?"

I turned my head to the side to see someone I didn't want to see all weekend standing there. Asano.

"Hello Asano," I said, trying not to be rude," What are you doing here so late at night?"

"I was about to ask you the same thing," he said," You should be at home studying, not taking a stroll around town."

I looked away from him and back at the street.

"My life isn't just about studying, Asano," I said," I have other things to do."

 "Like what?" asked Asano.

"Like going to the grocery store to buy food so that my mother and I don't starve," I stated.

"Why doesn't your mother do it?" asked Asano.

I thought for a second before sighing.

"I really don't know," I stated," Anyways, why are you out here so late?"

"Oh," he said," I was just.... getting some fresh air."

 That's totally believable.

"You haven't told me why you're out here yet," he said," So why are you out here?"

"That's none of your business," I stated.

Asano looked at me suspiciously for a second before sighing.

"You were hanging out with E-class again, weren't you?"

I stayed quiet and tried to ignore him as he continued.

"I should have known," he said while walking closer to me," You shouldn't be hanging out with them, you know. You'll get in a lot of trouble if you do."

"And why are you so concerned with that?" I asked," I thought you hated my guts. Plus you should be more worried with your studies."

Asano flinched a little before looking away with an annoyed look.

"I was only doing it for your own good," he said quietly.

"My own good?" I asked," What in the world made you think not having friends is better than having friends?"

"I never said you couldn't have friends," said Asano a little louder than usual," You just can't be friends with students from E-class."

"And what's so bad with them?" I asked," There normal human beings. It's not like they're worse than everyone else."
