Chapter 24: Akio and Kaiji

Asano's P.O.V.

 I looked at the two men with annoyance as I sat on the floor of the living room, arms and legs tied behind my back, while the two men sat on a couch across from Sakura and Ren, who also had their arms and legs tied up. But for some reason they allowed Sakura and Ren to sit on a couch and not me and the also tied my mouth shut, but not theirs.

 The man with the black cat mask was laying down on the couch, staring at Ren and Sakura coldly, while the other man was just sitting there with a few papers in his hand. Everyone stayed quiet for a few minutes until Sakura broke it.

 "What do you want with us, Akio, and where's Natsuki?" she said in an angry voice.

 "Now now Sakura," said the man, or Akio," We just came here to talk to you and your daughter about a few things, but it seems like she left a few minutes before we got here with friend."

 "What are you talking about?" asked Sakura.

 "I'm guessing she didn't see the two stacks of papers," said the man with a black cat mask.

 Sakura's eyes widened when he spoke, but she didn't say anything. Instead, she turned around to look at Natsuki's room, which had it's door wide open. Inside were two stacks of paper, each one with a different name on it.

 "That's her homework from school," Ren whispered," But who owns the other one?"

 "I don't know," said the guy with the cat mask," But her name is Yuzuki, I think."

 "Wait, that's an E-class student," said Ren.

 "Does it really matter?" asked the cat mask guy.

 "Anyways," said Akio," We're about to ask you two a few things, and if you refuse to answer or lie...."

 Suddenly, something flew right by my face and slammed into the floor behind me. My eyes widened in fear as I turned my head around to see a knife stuck into the flooring. I could feel Ren and Sakura's gaze on me, and it was filled with fear.

 "...The kid gets hurt," the guy with the cat mask said.

 I looked back over to the four of them, fear still in my eyes, as Akio looked over at the cat mask man.

 "You go first, since I know how much you want answers," said Akio.

 I could tell the guy smirked as he sat up and looked at Sakura.

 "Do you recognize me at all, Sakura?" he asked.

 "What are you....?" Sakura asked, confused before her eyes widened," Wait, KAIJI?!"

 The man laughed as he grabbed his cat mask.

 "That's right honey <3!" he said while throwing his mask off, causing the hood to fly off.

 As the hood fell off, we were finally able to see a clear picture of his face. But for some reason, he looked familiar, but why?

 "Wow Kaiji," said Sakura bluntly," You really did grow up to look like Izaya."

 Kaiji smirked while doing a hair flip.

 "And that's exactly how I wanted to look," he said," Now to my real question!"

 Sakura gulped while Ren looked at me with sympathy.

 "Now, this is something that happened over the summer so it should be fresh in your memory," he said," What exactly happened to my brother?"

 "Your brother?" asked Sakura, who was really confused," You had a brother?"

 Kaiji's eyes started filling with anger as he was about to stand up, but Akio held onto his sleeve to tell him to stop.

 "Now hold it Kaiji," he said," Your brother was born after high school ended, and we haven't seen Sakura since the end of high school. Even if she remembered that you had a brother, she wouldn't know his name."

 Kaiji sighed and sat back down on the couch.

 "Fine," he said before glaring at me, causing fear to crawl through my body.

 "Good," said Akio," Now tell her his name, then she might know who you're talking about."

 "Fine," Kaiji said again," Does Junta Nakao sound familiar?"

 Sakura and Ren's eyes suddenly filled with fear, causing me to look at them confused. I wanted to say something, but I couldn't.

 "You mean they never told you?" asked Sakura.

 "The government just told me that it was from unfortunate circumstances," said Kaiji," Now spill it!"

 Kaiji suddenly pulled out a knife from his pocket and pointed it at me, causing me to unconsciously move backwards. Ren and Sakura started panicking a little once he did that.

 "OKAY okay," said Ren," We'll tell you."

 "Thank you," Saiji said while slowly placing the knife back into his pocket.

 "His body was shredded my a motor boat," Sakura explained.

 My eyes widened when she said that, shocked that even happened. Saiji stopped sliding his knife into his pocket as his eyes filled with anger. He started growling and breathing heavily, causing Akio to get worried.

 "Saiji, stop getting angry!" he said," You're going to..."

 Before Akio could finish what he was going to say, Saiji shot up and ran over towards me. He pulled the knife back out of his pocket as I tried to move away. But before I could move an inch, Kaiji kicked me in the face, hard. I fell down onto the floor, cheek stinging like crazy, while Kaiji placed his foot on top of me. I closed my eyes tightly, waiting for what was to come. And what came was horrible. I felt something stab into my leg. Before I was able to see the knife, Kaiji twisted it, tearing a bunch of muscle as it did. I tried to cry out, but the handkerchief turned it to muffled screams.

 Kaiji took the knife out of my leg and started slashing my body with it. Sakura and Ren stared at me with fear in there eyes while Akio face palmed.

 "I told you to not kill him after the first question," he said.

 Pain filled my body as blood poured out of the cuts made by the knife. He continued slashing my body and stabbing me for what seemed like hours to me until he finally stopped. At this point, my clothes were covered in blood and not a single part of my body wasn't in pain. The handkerchief was also soaked in blood, causing there to be a rusty taste in my mouth.

 But apparently Kaiji wasn't done yet. He grabbed the collar of my shirt and threw me into the wall, causing even more pain to run through my back. Before I fell to the ground, Kaiji grabbed my collar again and held me up against the wall. I started coughing once my body was finally not moving, causing more blood to fill my mouth.

 Kaiji held up his knife and slashed my cheek. He then started shaking me furiously before aiming his knife at my heart. Immediately, I knew this was it for me. I wasn't going to survive after this. I closed my eyes in fear and waited for the knife to hit.

 Suddenly, the door to the apartment flew open and a gun shot was heard. I felt Saiji's hand let go of my collar, allowing me to fall to the ground. When I hit the ground, though, I fell unconscious.
