ICAT South Korea Sector
Seoul, South Korea
After the council released y/n from her official meeting, wich felt more like a gentle interrogation, Suga and Mochi led her back to the sprawling hall of windows.
Tired eyes and dragging feet seemed to encompass her entire being, trying to stay awake as they came to a stop in the center of the grand hallway. Many people were still milling about to their posts, inside the doors and stairways all around.
Night had officially fallen upon Seoul, the lantern city lighting up gently, reflecting through the large windows all around them. However, the sounds of the city were completely blocked out, and the permeating silence of the hall seemed to only be broken by the soft patter of footsteps of the people around.
Y/n slouched over dramatically and tried to reach her toes with her arms, huffing and letting her eyelids droop closed. Her body felt like lead, and she almost fell over with all the information she had absorbed over the last 12 hours.
She heard a scoff of irritation and a pull on her backpack, righting her stance up into a standing position. Yet, her shoulders still remained slouched. She glared at Suga as he removed his hand from her backpack.
"When I said, "Let's get some shut eye", I didn't mean in the middle of the hall," his dripping with a sarcastic venom.
His voice was calm and monotone as it always was, but y/n could tell his patience was wearing thin. Being stuck with her all day seemed to make him even older than 74 year old perona he already carried around everywhere.
Y/n didn't have the energy to bite back a retort, and neither did Mochi to make a joke.
"Well, I think it is time we got you to bed," Mochi said in a calm voice, his accented english making him seem more awake than he probably was.
The irony of this entire situation was that that it was only thirty minutes after sundown, but the day had been long and tiresome.
"That would be nice," y/n said with a half lidded smile on her face, then she piped up in confusion.
"Wait here? In these headquarters?" she asked, quirking her eyebrow.
Suga just sighed and covered his face with a pale hand. Clearly done as he could have ever been.
"You take her, Mochi. I'm going home," he sighed and started to make his way back to the entrance of the headquarters: the two magnificent mahogany doors looming in the distance under the soft glow of the dim lights above.
Mochi just chuckled and muttered something in Korean under his breath, shaking his head. Then, he turned back to y/n.
"Suga gets grumpy when he is tired. But that probably not a surprise to you. He likes his "beauty sleep"," Mochi said with air quotes. Watching as the dark haired boy disappeared into the shadow of the doors beyond.
"Our team doesn't live onsite here in headquarters. We share a condo in another part of town, so do the other operative groups and council members. However, all of the guests, onsite staff members, and sometimes, even the council members themselves will stay in the residential wing," he started speaking Mochi took y/n's arm and gently started pulling her along to a staircase that led to a golden elevator.
Y/n nodded and yawned, but had a million questions on her mind. She wanted to ask them all but instead she settled on the one itching at her mind the most.
"Mochi, i-in the council room, what was the Harmonium ... uh,' she paused, the name of the older woman escaping her.
"Song?", he offered in that warm voice that he carried, smiling down at her from the side.
