The next morning came abruptly, and her alarm was blaring next to her ear. Slamming her hand down on the plastic clock, she lifted herself from the bed.
Since she came to ICAT, they had given her some extra clothes, and a pair of pajamas. That way she didn't have to sleep in jeans every night.
Her room was quiet and dark, as it was 3 a.m and the exact time she needed to get up for their time traveling journey. One to the very structured and dangerous England.
Taking a deep breath, she removed herself from the navy blue blankets and got ready. Putting on the loose white shorts and tee that J-Hope had instructed for her to wear for traveling.
"You need to be wearing clothing you can easily remove to change into period-specific clothing quickly." Echoed J-Hope's words in her ear.
However, she subconsciously grabbed her red coat that she wore everywhere, putting it one and settling into the comfortable familiarity of the article.
She met the septet of WRAITHS in their "office", like she did every morning. However, the halls of the ICAT were bare and echoing at the early hour. Her mind wandering in nervousness for the mission laid ahead.
When she entered, the seven were already dressed similarly to y/n. White shorts and a loose fitting white top. It was also reliving however, to see that that all of them had a personal article of clothing along with them, just like her red coat.
Mochi waved at her with a bright smile and a messy fluff of blonde atop his head. Y/n waved back, although a little less brightly, since she was so tired.
Last night after the briefing, she had spent about two more hours revising her story line for her character as Miss Y/N L/N: fiance to the traveler Min Yoongi.
When she had read Suga's real name, she stared just a bit and said it over and over in her head. It was a strangely fitting name for the guy. She couldn't quite place why, it when his softer face came to her memory with the name attached, it all seemed to fit like a puzzle piece.
She had in fact, seen all of their real names.
Alongside the seven, was Ty - the mission coordinator- and much to y/n's surprise, the regal robed figures of Harmonium Song and Kang. The older and younger stood still underneath their sleek cloaks, emitting a sort of power through the room with their presence. It made the hairs on y/n's arm raise.
How do these people looked so polished at 3 in the morning!?
Y/n set down her things when she approached the circular shape the group was making around the wooden table. She came and stood in an open spot next to Kookie and Harmonium Song. The proximity to the powerful woman made y/n even more nervous.
Harmonium Kang addressed the circle with a raised arm, golden circlets falling down the length of her arm as she did so. Then she uttered a few words in Korean before raising her voice into English.
"Good Morning, operatives. Today, you will be venturing to the time of 1720: London, England. Your objective, as you already understand, is to retrieve the Emerald Mirror. The first of the seven Paradox Artifacts. The Korean Beta council as well as the International Alpha council wishes you good luck in your journey forward.
"However, there is one concern I would like to address before we send you off into the Red. With the amount of power that was eliminated from the Stone, the Catalysts and many other forces might know of the quest for these Paradox Artifacts. Be on alert, and only engage to protect the artifact. We cannot let it fall into the wrong hands. That will be all," Harmonium Kang finished her speech and set her hand down at her side.
