Hero/Villain AU
Kind of inspired by another movie ( I just watched The Crow and I really liked it) so I tried to base Virgil off of Eric Draven a little(?) it might have not worked out.
*Roman's POV*
The public loves me. Why wouldn't they? I'm their hero, after all. I've protected them from countless villains easily, but this one has been quite a challenge, for more than one reason.
Reason number one is that the villain isn't stereotypically stupid. He knows what he's doing and what he's dealing with. A startling and generally unwelcome contrast to the past villains.
Reason number two is that Virgil Black is really hot. I can't fight him because I'm too busy looking into those dark brown eyes that I swear don't have that much spite in them. The make up gives off an all around villainous and skull-like appearance, but I just can't take him seriously when his every move makes me incredibly flustered.
Reason number three has to do with reason number two, partly. His eyes don't hold a lot of hate, so why is he taking over the city? I just don't understand his motives, so I can't predict what he's going to do next, but he has plans, alright.
The night it went down was the night everything changed for me. Forever.
*Virgil's POV*
I wouldn't call myself a villain. Maybe a misguided vigilante. Maybe a distraught emo nightmare. Whatever the case may be, it doesn't matter what my opinion is. The public has labeled me as a villain.
I really did mean to stay under the radar while I got my vendettas, but it can never be that easy, can it? I'd barely committed three acts of vengeance (the city had called it "arson" and "destruction of city property") when the labeled "hero", Roman Prince stepped in to try and stop me.
"Not so fast, Emo Nightmare." A voice sounded from behind me in the abandoned garage. I momentarily ceased my gasoline pouring to look over my shoulder.
I smirked when I saw Roman Prince. Surprisingly enough, he actually flushed. I knew I had a fair amount of advantages in this situation.
"I take it you didn't bring company? I'm flattered." I drawled in a low and sarcastic voice, turned back around, and continued my gasoline pouring.
In the silence of the room, I heard his mouth pop slightly open into the shape of a small 'o'. It isn't until I hear the click of a gun that I sighed, set down the container of gasoline, and turned around with my arms raised half heartedly to my side.
I angled my head down, and let my bangs fall into my eyes before I looked back up at him with a completely serious, almost expectant face. I waited for him to speak. He had just looked at me with a mix of many emotions in his eyes and on his face.
It became abundantly clear to me that he wasn't going to speak, so I rolled my eyes, made a sarcastic face, and adjusted the cuffs of my leather jacket, not paying any attention to him. It's then that he spoke, but it's not much.
"Don't move." I looked back up at him and raised an eyebrow. He almost looks afraid.
"What kind of conversation starter is that?" I gave a slight chuckle and let the side of my mouth curve up a little bit. I turned around quickly and grabbed a chair that I haven't poured gasoline on, and sat on it so that the back of the chair is facing Roman.
"Usually one would start with: 'My, my, you're mighty handsome. What do I owe the pleasure of seeing such a gorgeous gentleman on this fine evening?' when they see me." I motioned for him to grab another chair. He sat on it the correct way and put his gun down. I smiled at this.
