This section is about the world of Kaf as it relates to its people. While there are are huge number of social groups and cultures with their own forms of infrastructure, going over each of them would be too long to give them justice. Instead, I will give broad strokes about the state of the world today. I may go over a region's particular variations if it is unique and significant enough.
Cultural Spheres
These are communities that share a large amount of cultural aspects like values, attitudes, opinions, lifestyles, symbols, and behaviors despite sometimes not being close geographically. As such they tend to transcend those national borders due to the people having intensive contact and exchange within.
Most of them started off as nation-states or empires that expanded their territory and influence over a certain area. As such the people in those areas would usually mix the dominant ruling culture with local traditions until the regions began to want political identity and independence.
Umah is a cultural sphere that originated from the Djinn in Jinnistan and spread throughout the world in various regions. Ecumene cultural sphere is one that has strong ties to Ecclesiam and despite it origins in the Ereb region has developed more in Adrioasis and Tasmantis. Siang is a cultural sphere that originated from the late Yougai dystany and generally encompasses the Tianxia region. Bharata is a cultural sphere that has origins in the Deshi regions with influences in various Tianxia nations. Kanem is a cultural sphere most promenent in Humid Songhai. Lastly is the Pelagos cultural sphere that is largely confined to Tasmantis.
These cultural spheres go a long way to explaining why some customs may be found in different areas. If you are familar with the language or food of one area, another region within the same sphere may share it. On the other hand, if two nearby places have different customs then this may also help explain that. As cultural spheres are often tied to a place's history, its always a good idea to get at least a brief history of any place in the world you decide to visit and explore.
