Kaf is the name of the planet that we live on, as many of you may already know. Our world is one with varied locations, a storied history, interesting forms of life, and fascinating inhabitants. My goal in the following sections is to go over as much as I can about what the world has to offer. Granted if I were to go into every little detail, I would be rambling forever. So instead I will broadly go over the fundamental aspects that I think every responsible person should know out there. Let's begin, shall we?
Nature
Most regions have different climates, those further south in the world have a warmer climate than northerly regions, due to an equator. Some beings such as elementals, deities, or powerful magical rituals can produce extreme weather, climate change, even tectonic activity like earthquakes, or volcanic eruptions. Weather conditions due to wind and water also appear in Kaf, and as rain, hailstorms, snow, fog, and sandstorms. There are also major geochemical cycles, such as the water cycle, carbon cycle, and the nitrogen cycle, that maintain the matter of the planet.
Artificial and natural occurrences form caves in the mountainsides that are able to be explored or passed through to get to other settlements. Many natural phenomena appear in the world of Kaf such as snowing ash that covers the area is caused by the nearby volcano that smokes and rains down on the area. An interesting feature of Kaf is in its polar regions which have the presence of cryovolcanoes that erupt plumes of freezing water that quickly condense into more ice.
World Zones
A world zone is simply a large region of interaction between people. It is linked together geographically yet, it's also linked by things like language, religion, trade, or politics. It may have a hundred thousand people living in different types of communities, maybe even be millions.
With the first wave of civilizations in antiquity, there were three major world zones: Cafcuh, Valbara, and Mu. Each of the three world zones was its own seperate world for a time and there was no regular contact between the zones. That all changed when explorers from Hybrasil entered Jinnistan for the first time and spurred intercultural trade, empire expansion and conquest for the rest of antiquity. After the end of the Ghulat Wars, the new world started becoming more connected before separate world zones could form in the modern realm.
Author Notes: Hello, its the real world author here. So far I'm planning to publish a new section on Wednesdays.
