My breath caught in my throat and the anxiety bubbled in my stomach like a never ending storm. I felt Phil tense incredibly beside me which made the anxiety flow into my heart.

"Look – "

"Stop acting so tough Phil," Lindsey rolled her eyes and crossed her arms.

Phil scoffed.

"Fine tell him I don't give two shits," Phil hissed.

"As if we'll make a difference," Jason snorted.

Phil gritted his teeth together, looking around him to see if there was anyone nearby. Suddenly he leaped forward, causing Lindsey and I to jump back in surprise as Phil landed on the floor on top of Jason as Jason squealed.

"Phil what are you -" I began before Jason launched a punch at my boyfriend.

Suddenly Phil scrunched up his nose as he was hit and threw a punch back at Jason. I glanced over at Lindsey who was just as shocked as I was. Phil and Jason had broken out into a fight in the middle of a park filled with young children and I was worried we were going to get into deep trouble.

"You mother fucker!" Jason coughed.

I desperately ran over to Phil and pulled him away from Jason.

"Phil calm down please," I begged.

Phil's hands clenched so much that his knuckles were visible. Jason stood up and was mumbling curse words under his breath.

"C'mon Jason lets go," Lindsey said.

"Fucking crazy they are," Jason croaked brushing himself down. "You'll get whats coming to you."

I stroked Phil's arm to comfort him.

"Why did you attack him?"

"He was getting on my nerves," Phil replied.

"Phil..."

He frowned.

"I just don't want to get in trouble, sorry," I told him.

"Sorry Dan," Phil said quietly.

I could see his eyes following Jason as he walked towards Morrisons.

"It's okay,"

Phil's icy blue eyes hardened towards Jason so I decided to drag him towards the swings again.

"Are you alright?" I asked.

"At the moment I don't really care how I feel," Phil replied indignantly.

"You seemed to get a little bothered, " Lindsey said suddenly.

"Why are you still here?" I snapped. "If you're here to take the piss just go, you have better things to waste your time on. What in hell has Phil ever done?"

"What he did to you."

Her words shocked me and I stood back like I had been hit by a bullet. I then watched as Lindsey walked away. Phil wafted his hand in front of my eyes because I was in a trance, my vision was going slightly cloudy as I had been lost in the cloud of thought swarming my mind like bees in a hive. I thought what she meant was that; that she had been through the pain that I had just after I had slept with Phil. I wasn't sure.

"Dan?"

My eyelids flickered and I looked up into Phil's, then smiled.

"You're beautiful y'know," I told him, cupping his cheek as my smile broadened.
