My New Life

Chapter 4

***Maggie's POV***

I had spent the next 3 weeks doing nothing, well except going to the book shop every day. Dad wasn't at home half of the time so I just ended up spending my whole days there.

"So...", dad said, "School's starting tomorrow, aren't you excited?" he said in a dull tone.

"Yes I am" I answered just as enthusiastically as him.

"Well... I need to go to sleep, so goodnight".

"Goodnight".

Instead of going to sleep I watched a movie, on Netflix, and to be specific, I watched Pitch Perfect. It's my favourite movie like of all time.

I was in the part where Becca was watching The Breakfast Club, and was crying. And no matter how many times I watched it, I always laugh as if it's the first time I'm seeing it.

"Morning Mags"

"Morning Dad" I said half yawning, picking up the box of Cinnamon Toast Crunch. I poured it into the bowl.

"How are you going to go to school?" Dad asked.

"I thought I would walk" I answered.

"I'll take the taxi to the airport then, and you can go in with Robin in the car" dad insisted.

"But why do you need to go to the airport dad?"

"I need to go to D.C for some work but I'll be back in time for dinner"

"Ok" I nodded my head "I should be getting ready, don't want to be late"

I washed my hair with my favourite cherry shampoo and conditioner. I got out and started searching for a good outfit.

I chose a neon green/yellow tank top and and an olive green crop top, and with that I wore ripped jeans shorts and green converse.

I straightened my hair, put mascara, eyeliner and a little bit of lip gloss.

I said bye to dad and went down stairs. The doorman opened the door for me and waved goodbye. Robin was waiting next to the car. He saw me and smiled, opened the door fore and closed it when I got in.

The drive to school took about 15 minutes.

The car stopped in front of the school, I could see teenagers hanging around outside, and from what I could see they were sorted into the typical high school groups. Populars, cheerleaders, jocks, nerds/geeks and just the normal people who just blended into the school.

Robin opened the door and I got out, few people were staring at me and whispering to each other. "Bye Maggie, ad have a nice day" said Robin waiving at me, "Bye" I waved back and started walking towards the entrance if the school.

Everyone was whispering and looking at me now, I caught few words here and there

"Hunter",

"Girl",

"Picture",

"How?",

"Ask her" and few other words like that. I shook my head and ignored them content on finding the office.
