Conor

A small, conserved tap sounded from my window and I looked up to see Leah smiling down at me, her cheeks vivid with life.

My eyes jumped out of my head.  The dress made her look so much more pure and her straight brown hair had her looking absolutely stunning.

Leah was so beautiful it was unbelievable.

''CONOR!'' I heard her yell, her voice traveling through the windows.

I smirked as I opened the door, she scampered into the passenger seat making sure to slam the door shut.

She turned to me.

''Were you planning on leaving me out there?''

''Of course not, sunshine.'' She rolled her eyes, just as her phone buzzed in her purse.

She pulled it out and began typing away.

I leaned over to catch a glance.

Zach: Hey :)

Leah: Hi! Wait, how'd you get my number.

Zach: I have connections, beautiful x

Leah: Sure :)

Zach: I was thinking about dinner for 2 tomorrow, wanna join me? X

Leah: Yeah, why not.

Zach: Cool, 6pm?

Leah: Yup!

Zach: K see you then, beautiful x

Leah: Bye x

I took a sharp breath in. Kiss? What did that mean? Did she like Zach?

I turned my head away as she slipped her phone back into her purse.

''You wanna go now?'' She asked. I didn't meet her gaze. I couldn't. I couldn't deal with her being with anyone but me.

I started the car and backed out of her driveway.

''Conor, are you alright?'' She whispered softly, placing her hand over mine.

My heart stopped. Her hand felt smooth and warm against my skin like it belonged there.

Since when did such a sweet gesture mean so much to me.

I kept my eyes on the road and said nothing.

She sighed and removed her hand.

''No.''

She turned to look up at me.

''What?''

''K-keep your hand there'' I said.

She returned her hand and put it over my large one. I looked at her beside me and smiled.

20 minutes later, we were pulling up into a large field.

Tall tents were put up, which I presumed were filled with Batman comic books.

There were stalls with batman candy and a guy dressed in a full batman costume.

On the far left were a comic book signing and our very own Bob Kane and Bill Finger where there scribbling pieces of paper.

I stopped the car and Leah clambered out excitedly. I chuckled at her enthusiasm.

She was such a kid

''Slow down.'' I said, smiling.

''Sorry!'' She grabbed my hand and pulled me through the large crowd and into a large tent full of comics.
