Conor

The rain was already falling by the time I had arrived at his house. The large oak door's gave the building a very sinister look, it didn't really help that the house itself was black. Lucky I had some balls. I used my non-broken hand to knock on the door.

Years pasted and the door finally opened, revealing a tall man with white hair sprouting out of black root's. His cold dark eyes were the exact opposite of Zach's.

''Conor?''

I rolled my eyes at my step-father.

''No, its fucking Stanley from Wal-mart.''

He looked taken aback at my light humorous mood. He was probably expecting an outburst of crude remarks.

A lopsided smile took over his face.

''Come in'' He said warmly. A series of unnecessary halls led me to a large, white kitchen, and in a Polka dotted apron, stirring a bowl of soup, was Sarah Fairfield.
''Conor?'' Her eyes lit up.
''Sarah?'' She couldn't expect me to call her Mom, I mean seriously? That's kindergarten stuff.
''Oh my boy!'' She exclaimed, and engulfed me in a bear hug. She smelt of perfume and washing-up liquid, it was almost appealing.
''Hey, Sarah'' She pulled away and cupped my cheeks with her small hand's.
''Look at you, just like your father'' She whispered. My heart froze at the mention of my father, and I found myself peeling her hand's off my skin.
''I'm so sorry.'' She said and I nodded my head in response.

''I'm sure you father was a great man'' James added. I turned to the sly dog, who had perched himself up on the Island.

''You don't know shit, Montgomery,'' I said through my teeth.

Way to kill my light-humourous mood, idiot.

''But I don know your father was a-'' I ran at full pace and pounced unto my prey.

''Your the reason he was hanged'' I screamed throwing punch after punch.

''It was your bloody father!'' I spat. My fist plunged into his stomach.

''Conor!! Stop!'' My mother screamed. ''Stop.'' It was no longer her talking.

''Conor'' My father's voice swam through my head.

I jumped away from James, as if he had a deadly disease.

''I can't believe you.'' My mother spluttered, before scurrying out of the room. I looked down at James' broken, battered face.

''You'll pay'' He whispered. ''That bastard died for a reason''.

I clenched my fist's, my teeth grinding against each other.

''You'll be sorry'' I said, giving him once last kick. He screamed in agony. I smirked.
''We'll keep this between you and me'' I said, walking away. I never meant for this to happen. If my Mom, didn't have to make a comment about Dad, then her little dick of a husband wouldn't have had the upper hand. I stood outside in the rain.  I had nowhere to sleep, and I was homeless in my heart.

Leah

I didn't know what to think. I just-. Thinking wasn't an option right now, it just gave me a headache. I went back into my room, to find Zach crying into my pillow.
''Zach-
''You hate me, I get it'' He said, his voice shaking.
''I don't I just-''
''You remember that date I asked you on.'' I nodded. The one before I went into coma.
''I was going to tell you everything. How I saw you in the park one day with that friend of yours. How you caught my eye with that goofy grin. Everything about you was perfect, I-i really thought I could make it work.'' My heart shattered into a million pieces. I had broken someone. I gave them hope and I dashed them. I liked Zach, of course I did. He was absolutely amazing. But Conor had stolen my heart, and it didn't seem like he was about to give it back.

''I'm sorry,'' I whispered, looking down at my hands.
''Don't be, he'll be sorry'' Zach said and stormed out of my room. I can't believe this crap is over me. Me? The stupid nerd that no one has paid attention to for years. It only then dawned on me that I was due to return back to school on Monday for exams. Every damn thing was working against me, but I couldn't even muster a tear.

Not one single solitary tear fell from my eyes, for days.
