Conor

I rang the bell, patiently waiting for Brittany to open the door. She finally answered it look like she'd just woken up.

''Brittany.'' I breathed, a smile taking over my face. She kept a straight face.

''What?'' She demanded.

''Look I'm sorry about everything. It was stupid. The Leah thing was stupid. She's probably at home watching soppy love movies and eating tacos.'' I smile flickered on her lips.

''So your not together anymore'' She asked.

''It's me and you baby'' I sang, snaking my arms around her waist. Her smile suddenly dissolved.

''What about Leah?'' She whispered.

''She's not important! Why does everyone expect me to care about her?'' I shouted.

''Because your the only one she cares about'' She whispered.

''No, I care about you, ok?''

''You were everything to her.'' She said, tears streaming down her pale face.

''What? What do you mean 'were''' I asked, quietly. I was confused. Very confused.

''I had a nightmare, Conor'' She began to cry into my chest.

''What did you see?'' I asked, rubbing her back.

''Leah'' She whispered. ''She was hanging on a rope in her bedroom''. I suddenly pulled away from her.

''That's stupid,'' I said my voice shaking nervously. I was aware of Brittany's nightmares since 4th Grade.

''I know'' She said, her voice hovering above a whisper. ''Please go and make sure she's alright''.

I shoke my head. ''Brittany, she's fine it was just a nightmare''. I could feel my skin paling, by the second. This was scaring the shit outta me.

''Just go and make sure she's alright'' Brittany shouted. ''The least you could do is care that you broke her heart!'' She started crying again, before she ran back inside, slamming the door.

I guess I'd have to go and check on her.

That's when the storm started.
