The time had been flying past us. It seemed only a moment ago we were fighting a troll in the girls bathroom. Draco and I had been hanging out a lot, and Laurance had been teasing me even more about him since he found out that we liked each other. We were going to be spending our Christmas break at the Maddox's, my new adoptive parents. I was sitting in my Library right now, trying to pass the time before it was time to go 'home'. My muggle parents had already been obliviated. I was a bit sad I didn't get to say goodbye but it was good knowing that they wouldn't be pained with knowing that I had left them.
"Come on Y/n, it's time to go!" I looked up from the spell book that I was reading to see my older brother standing there.
"Alright, I've got all my stuff packed let me go grab my trunk."
"Alright meet me in the living room, we're flooing to the Maddox's."
I rushed out of the library and over to my room. I pointed my wand at my trunk and said, "Wingardium Leviosa!" I don't know why but still after all this time, seeing myself do magic just made me giddy! I walked out of the room, an then into the living room. I was greeted by Laurence, Ella, and to my surprise, Draco.
"Alright come on Y/n, get in the fireplace." My older brother instructed. I did as he told me, he threw the floo powder onto the ground and shouted "Maddox Manor!" I felt dizzy for a moment, but seconds later it stopped. I stepped out of the fire place to see a gorgeous and bright living room.
I saw a man and a woman standing in front of the fire, as if they were waiting for us to arrive, which, they probably were. I took a moment to notice the features of the many and the woman. The woman, who I assumed was Mrs. Maddox, had short, straight, auburn hair, with hazel eyes she was a quite curvy, and looked suprisingly young. I looked to the left of the woman to see, whom I presumed was Mr.Maddox. He was a rather tall man with short black hair, and blue eyes. He too looked very young the both only seemed to be 30 or 31. Laurence and Ella ran up to the Maddox's and they embraced each other. I was feeling a little left out but suddenly the four of them turned to me, then Mrs.Maddox spoke up.
"Hello, dear. You must be Y/n!" She said with a warm smile. " I'm Persephone, and this is Orion, you may call us that, also if or when you feel comfortable you may call us mom and dad."
"Thank you." I said smiling brightly at the pair.
"Yes, dear, I've heard so much about you. Laurance and Ella have been owling me ever since you guys finally met each other."
"I'm so sorry we had to wait until your time at hogwarts, but we couldn't get you until you were aware you were a witch..."
"It's alright,really." I said smiling
"Well, I think we'd better show Y/n here her new room!" Orion said. "Follow me, Y/n, Laurance and Ella could you two stay down here and help your mother make dinner." I followed Orion up the stairs and down the hallway. We went past several rooms a few of them saying either 'Mom and Dad', or 'Laurence' or 'Ella' and a few had house elves names on them, the first one I recognized being Lunar. It made me happy that they each had their own room. I'd eventually go say hi to them and introduce my self. We were walking for awhile until we finally stopped at a door at the very end of the hallway. "Alright, this is your new room, we built it as soon as we finished the adoption papers." He said smiling. He opened the door and my mouth dropped. I loved it!
