As I walked down the stairs I was greeted by my siblings, Saiph, Orion, and a rather familiar family of blondes. When I reached the bottom of the stairs it was not Orion, who I had expected to speak up, but Laurence.
"I think I told you this back at school, but the Malfoy's will be staying with us over the holiday break."
I laughed a bit to myself, "I guess my letter was bit pointless then." This made Draco smirk, and his father chuckled.
"It is good to finally meet you, Y/n." Mr.Malfoy said, "Draco's told me quite a bit about you, I am Lucius." That last bit made Draco's face turn a bit pink.
"Well, I guess there's no need to introduce myself, but it is nice to meet you Lucius." I said and stuck my hand out. He accepted it and we shook hands briefly, then Mrs.Malfoy spoke up.
"Hello, Y/n I'm Draco's mother, I'm glad we've finally been able, to meet. I'm Narcissa." She greeted with a warm smile, I was expecting a handshake, as with Lucius, but was instead greeted with a warm embrace.
"Nice to meet you." Smiling as I was released, thuogh my smile faltered, I remembered Mom used to hug me like that... I think Saiph noticed something had upset me because she then spoke up.
"Well, Lunar and Gaia have set the table for us, why don't we sit down for dinner?"
Orion, Laurence, Ella, Lucius, Draco, Narcissa, and I all murmured words of agreement as we followed Saiph through the hallway and into the dining room. We each took a seat at the table, I chose to sit in between Draco and Laurence.
"Okay, so for dinner tonight Laurence Ella and I have prepared a meal that we hope you will find delicious." Saiph said, she then pointed her wand at the large tray in the middle of the table and made the cover disappear. "We cooked steak and mashed potatoes as the main course, and as a side dish we have salad, and fruit salad. Help yourselves."
No one really talked whilst we were eating, it was a comfortable silence, minus the every so often *pops* of an elf apparating off to clean something. It was somethign I had gotten used to in the Riddle wing. Once everyone was done eating, it was Orion who broke the silence in the room.
"So, Y/n, Draco, how has school been going? I've heard a lot from Laurence but none from, you Y/n, so I'm curious how classes are going for you two." I smiled at him, and I was about to speak up and tell them how classes had been going, when I was beat by Draco.
"Classes have been going great for all Slytherin, Y/n over here is top of our class! She's also been made the Slytherin team seeker!" I was taken aback that he hadn't taken the chance to tell my Orion and Saiph all about himself.
"Wow, Y/n! That's amazing!" I was expecting Saiph or Orion to be talking but it turned out to be Narcissa,
I'm not sure how red my face really was but I'm pretty sure you could describe the shade as 'tomato'.
"Th-thank you, Narcissa. B-but Draco's doing good too! He's got top third grades in all of our classes, a-and he's an amazing flyer!"
"Now, dear don't be so modest! Be proud Y/n, proud!" A smile plastered on her face.
"I definitely will."
~Time skip to after dinner~
"Hey Draco, can I show you my new room?" I asked Draco
"Yeah, sure."
Laurence smirked at me as we got up from the table, I just rolled my eyes and stuck my tongue out at him. Draco followed me up the stairs, when we finally arrived at the end of the hallway I opened my door and walked in.
