It had been a week since Draco, Narcissa and Lucius had left to go home, I decided to put my new gifts to a bit of a fashion show for the whole school. Wearing the tiara, the necklace and earrings the Malfoy's gave me, along with the necklace I technically gave myself, but put on a shorter chain so you could see both my emerald and my 'Magic Message' necklace, as Ella was calling it. I wore the dress and pumps Laurence got for me, along with all of that, I did a full face of makeup using the makeup Ella got me. I truly looked the part of 'Slytherin Princess' I got out of the Maddox's car and strode with confidence towards Platform 9 3/4, and walked straight through the wall. Bags in hand, I turned around and gave a hag to Saiph and Orion, and walked onto the Hogwarts Express. As I walked I could feel the stares of just about very person who I walked past drilling holes into my back. I was walking towards the booth Draco, the goons, and pug face sat at on the ride home at the beginning of break. When suddenly, a vice like grip on my arm startled me, and yanked me into a booth. I was about ready to attack, when I saw Hermione's familiar face. I sighed in relief and pulled her into a hug
"You scared the crap out of me!" I said, still hugging her. Eventually, I let her go, and we started to catch up, I told her more about my new powers than I could over text. She told me show would help me study my new powers and learn more about them. I reminded my self to give her her gift. I pulled the Gift wrapped in red and gold striped wrapping paper out of the bag I'd enchanted to fit whatever I need it to, and all I had to do was think about what I needed, and I'd pull it out. I handed it to her and told her to open it.
"You didn't have to, Y/n, but thank you!"
"You haven't even opened it yet, you might not even like it, and if you don't I can always take it back and get a different one." I said, smiling at her.
"I'm sure I'll like it, but I'll keep that in mind." She said, laughing as she tore through not one, but 4 layers of wrapping paper, when she finally got to it. On the front of the book it said 'A History Of Magic' and below it, the authors name. She opened up the front cover, and gasped when she saw the Author's signature. She looked like she was about to cry happy tears, but I held up my hand.
"Before you turn into a snotty ball of happy tears, there's one more thing about the book you should know, it's been enchanted to update its self twice every month, and it's a first edition." Hermione's mouth dropped open, as she gaped at me.
"No, Y/n I can't accept this, it must've cost you a fortune!" She said, on the verge of happy tears.
"Yes, you can, and yes it did, but your friendship is worth so much more to me than a few galleons, so accept the gift, Merry Christmas, Hermione." I said, as she jumped over to my side of the booth and hugged me, hard. I started laughing when I couldn't breathe anymore, but the laughs turned to coughs, and she let me go.
"Okay, so I have a gift for you, too!" She said, raising her hand to cut me off before I could protest. "It's not as expensive or as magical as the gift you gave me, but I think you'll like it." She handed me a box wrapped in emerald green wrapping paper. I ripped the wrapping paper open, revealed a brown box. I took the top off of the box and I was greeted first, by a pair of green and silver converse. I was already smiling, but with each item I pulled out it grew brighter and brighter. After the converse, were a pair of tall Slytherin socks, with Princess embroidered across the top, next was a Slytherin Quidditch hoodie, but it was customized to say, Princess of Slytherin, with the silhouette of a girl on a broom, reaching out and holding a snitch, on the back it said 'Your Favorite Seeker' and the Slytherin house crest under it. Just when I thought the gifts were done, I found a pair emerald and sliver joggers with the Slytherin on the left hip, and it said, 'Princess' across the butt, I snorted at that, the last thing in the box was a bracelet, carved into it was ' The Princess Of Slytherin, Y/n Riddle ' . I hugged Hermione, thanking her for the gifts.
"You know what, the whole 'Princess' thing used to really piss me off, but it's kind of become my brand." I said, making Hermione laugh. We talked and talked until finally, the train stopped and we had finally arrived home, to Hogwarts. Careful not to fall over in my pumps, I held onto my carry-on, and strode into the large castle. Waving at people I knew, I walked all the way to the Dungeon without falling, or tripping. When I finally got to the common room, I tripped, thankfully I was caught my strong hands. I looked up to see my brother, grinning like a goof at me.
He helped me stand up, and I took a moment to take my pumps off. "I see you might not be ready for that part of the gift yet?" Laurence said, laughing as he let me use him as a support so I didn't fall over while taking my heels off.
"Maybe not yet." I said as I put the heels into my purse. Laurence gave me an odd look and I told him about the spell I made for the bag. He looked surprised, and impressed. He gave me an approving nod as we walked up to the Riddle Suite, closing the door behind us. I walked to the couch in the foyer, and plopped backwards. Laurence just laughed and walked to his room. After probably an hour I got up and walked to my room. Once I was there, I slid on a pair of pajamas and put my hair up into a messy ponytail. I went to the bathroom and took the makeup off I had on, and took all my jewelery off but the Magic Message Necklace, and I slipped into bed.
It took me all but two minutes to drift into a nice, dreamless sleep.
