"Where's Hermione?" Harry asked, Ron shrugged, he didn't seem like he cared.
"Parvati Patil said she's been in the bathroom crying since after Charms, she wants to be left alone."
"Oh well." said Harry, Professor Quirell came running into the Great Hall.
"TROLL! IN THE DUNGEON! T-TROOLLL IN THE DUNGEON!!" Quirell stops and there is utter silence. "Thought you ought to know." He immediately falls over in a dead faint. The room is silent, and then everyone freaks, screaming and running.
"SILLLLLEEENNNNCEEEEE!" Dumbledore cries out and everyone stops." Everyone will please, not panic. Now, Prefects will lead their houses back to the dormitories. Teachers will follow me to the dungeons."
"Professor Dumbedore, sir, Slytherin dormitories are in theg dungeons!"
"Very well Ms. Riddle, Slytherin students, you will stay in the Great Hall."
"Hufflepuff, this way!" One girl said
"Stay together!" A boy said.
I pull Ron and Harry aside from the rest of the Gryffindor students, who were follwing Percy, the Gryffindor prefect.
"Hermione! She doesn't know!" I whisper shout to the two boys, "We've got to go tell her!"
The three of us run off, down corridors. We start running down a hall when they stop, because there is a grunting noise. I pull Harry and Ron into a doorway and a large, a ugly troll thunks by into a room.
"He's going into the Girl's Bathroom!" Harry pipes up
When we reach the bathroom, Hermione emerges from a stall, wiping her eyes. She stops when she sees something. The troll is standing there. Hermione backs up, into the stall just as the troll raises its club and smashes the top part of the stalls. Hermione screams. Harry and Ron come bursting in behind me.
"Hermione move!!!" I scream at her, the troll starts smashing the remaining stalls.
"Help! Help!" Hermione cries, me and the boys start throwing wood pieces at the troll.
"Hey, pea brain!" Ron says as he throws wood and hits the troll on the head. I see Hermione escape from the stalls to under a sink, but the troll sees her and goes to smash her. It cracks the sink and barely misses Hermione.
"Help!" Hermione continues to cry out
Harry gets out his wand. He runs forward and grabs the troll's club, and is lifted up.
"Whooa! Whoa, whoa!" Harry yells as he lands on the troll's head, and is hurled forward, then back, and his wand goes up the troll's nose. Gross!
The troll snorts, and whips around.
"Hold on a sec guys!" I pull my wand out from my pocket "Immobulus!!" The troll is imobile for a few moments but breaks through the spell, I make a mental note to practice that one more if I make my way out of this alive.
Ron grabs his wand. Under the sink, Hermione waves her hand.
"Swish and flick!" Hermione says to Ron, encouraging him.
"Wingardium Leviosa!" Ron says, and flicks his wand, the club is lifted out of the troll's hand and hovers above its head. The troll looks up, confused, just as the club comes crashing back down It hits the troll's head and the troll wavers, then drops Harry, who crawls away, and comes crashing down, hard.
"Is it...dead?"Hermione says whilst approaching the troll carefully.
"I don't think so. Just knocked out." I say, Harry grabs his wand out of the trolls nose. Ew. Troll boogers!
Suddenly, McGonagall, Snape and Quirrell come rushing in.
They all gasp.
"Oh! Oh, my goodness! E-Explain yourselves, all of you!" McGonagall says, obviously
"Well, what it is..." I begin, the boys are just staring wide eyed at the teachers.
"It's my fault, Professor McGonagall." Hermione says, causing everyone in the room to gape at her.
"Ms.Granger?" McGonagall looked very confused,
"I went looking for the troll. I'd read about them and thought I could handle it. But I was wrong. If Harry, Y/n, and Ron hadn't come and found me...I'd probably be dead."
"Be that as it may...it was an extremely foolish thing to do. I would have expected more rational behaviour on your part, Ms.Granger. 5 points will be taken from Gryffindor for your serious lack of judgment. As for you two gentlemen I just hope you realize how fortunate you are. Not many students could take on a full grown mountain troll and live to tell the tale. 5 points...will be awarded to each of you. For sheer dumb luck."
"Ah yes, and Ms.Riddle, 10 points will be awarded to you, for being prepared for a situation as such" Snape says to me, I was about to say that the boys helped too but was cut off by Quirell.
"Perhaps you ought to go...M-might wake up..."
Hermione, Ron, Harry and I walk out of the bathroom. I head down to the dungeons, then up to my room. I slip on the hoodie that Draco had gotten me and a pair of shorts and slip into bed.
Before I knew it I was asleep
-The next morning-
I saw Snape walk up to the trio,
"Good luck today, Potter. Then again, now that you've proven yourself against a troll, a little game of Quidditch should be easy work for you...even if it is against Slytherin." Snape then walks, limping, up to me.
"Good morning, Ms. Riddle, you'd better eat something you'll want some energy for when we beat Gryffindor." Snape walks away, still limping.
I finish my breakfast and walk over to the trio and sit down next to Mione
"That explains the blood." Harry says
"Blood?" I ask
"Listen, last night, I'm guessing Snape let the troll in as a diversion so he could try and get past that three headed dog. But, he got himself bitten, that's why he's limping."
"Three headed dog? What do you mean?" I say.
"Well, Ron, Hermione, and I stumbled upon the third corridor and we found 3 headed dog." Harry explains
"Like Cerebus? The guard dog of the underworld?" I ask
"Yes sort of like that," Hermione says, "But why would anyone go near that dog?
"The day I was at Gringotts, Hagrid took something out of one of the vaults. He said it was Hogwarts' business, very secret." Harry says
"So you're saying..." Hermione began but was cut off by Harry.
"That's what the dog's guarding. That's what Snape wants."
"Guys, he's a teacher, why would he be going and sneaking around? If any of the teachers would be doing something like that its Quirrell! I've never trusted that guy!" I say, I mean yeah Snape could be mean sometimes but, stealing from hogwarts? Come on.
