The eerie silence contrasts the previous scene's noise. It's a large field surrounded by dense forest. The mist is heavy; it's overcast, grey. Suddenly, the quiet is broke by Emmett being flung through the air He lands hard on his back, but immediately springs up to face Jasper, the person who threw him

"Again."he barked Carlisle, Esme, Alice, Rosalie and I watch them just then the Volvo as skids to a halt next to Jasper's Jeep. Edward and Bella climb out, head into the field together I wrap my arms around myself

"They're here."Edward says I then see eight giant wolves I recognize one of them almost immediately as paul I looked away and step further back

"They don't trust us enough to be in their human forms."Edward said

"They came. That's what matters."Carsile said

"Will you translate?"Carsile asked Edward who nods. Carlisle moves slowly towards their pack. Sam, the biggest and blackest wolf steps forward

"Jasper has experience with newborns. He'll teach us how to defeat them."Carsile explained

"They want to know how the 'newborns' differ from us."Edward said

"They're a great deal stronger than us, because their own human blood lingers in their tissues. Our kind is never more physically powerful... ... than in our first several months of this life. Alex is a great example of a newborn because she's still in her first few months into this life"carsile explained he nods to Jasper to take over.

"Carlisle's right. That's why they are created. A newborn army, doesn't need thousands like a human army. And no human army could stand against them. The two most important things to remember are, first... Never let them get their arms around you. They'll crush you instantly. The second... Never go for the obvious kill. They'll be expecting that. And you will lose."Jasper explained first was he and Emmett then Carsile and Edward then Jasper and Alice

"Emmett? Alex?"Jasper called out i heard paul growl which Sam growled back he sunk down in defeat I pulled off my jacket and tossed it on the floor before stepping forward

"Carsile"emmett said

"it's okay"i said he nods before running towards me I jumped up grabbing onto the branch above me swinging and jumping on his back I grabbed his arms from behind pulling back until he dropped to the ground I put my foot on his back

"give up emmett"i told him

"never"he said I pulled back harder

"okay okay I give up"he gave up I let go and got off him he stands up

"I enjoyed that way more than I was supposed to"i said with a laugh

"that hurt"he tells me

"so did my unbeating heart"i said rolling my eyes I picked up my jacket and walked to my car

"Alex!"I heard paul call out I ignored him and threw my jacket in the car

"Alex"he said grabbing my arm

"what?"I asked finally looking at him and of course he was shirtless

"I can't believe you went back to them"he said folding his arms

"that's the first thing you wanna say when you see me again?"I asked him raising my eyebrows

"no of course not but cmon the argument wasn't that serious"he said

"so you think people fighting for my life isn't serious dude you need to work on your communication skills"i said rolling my eyes and folding my arms

"I know I'm not perfect and neither are you but it's my job to protect you I know you can handle yourself even more today but what kind of boyfriend would I be if I can't protect you"he explained

"I hate you"i said smiling he sighs pulling me into his embrace I hugged him back
