Chapter 22

"Passengers , please fasten your seatbelts and rest your back against the chair. We'll be landing in Madrid in about 15 minutes. Thank you."

Fabiola fastened her seatbelt and packed her phone along with her earphones into her calvin Klein bag in front of her. She was finally arriving Madrid after hours of flying.

First,she would get her a driver, then go to Carmen's house. She didn't know if she would be home or not but at least she would check there.

The plane finally landed and everyone got out of the plane grateful for a safe journey.

"Bye!" A little girl waved at her.
Fabiola smiled," bye Love!"

She got into the waiting car that she had gotten reserved with her luggage and the car drove off.

On getting to the house,the driver parked in front of it and fabiola came down.

It was afternoon in Madrid and was extremely hot.

"The house looks different". she thought to herself. She walked to the front door and knocked on it.

Waiting for a reply,she heard none. She knocked again and again but still nothing.

"Carmen?!" She yelled.

"Young lady over there!" She heard a lady scream.

Looking back at where the voice came from,she squinted her eyes, saw an old lady beckon at her to come over..

Fabiola walked over to the old lady's house and greeted her.

"Don't bother knocking or yelling my dear. The lady who lived there has moved away about a year ago."

Her shoulders dropped in disbelief." She what?" Fabi managed to ask.

"She moved away. But she left me a note and an address saying she was sure a friend of hers was coming. What's your name,pretty?"

"Fabiola Alvarez de Arroyo." She answered.

"Ah,then you're the one. Took you long enough."

"Excuse me?"

"I'll get the note for you,just hang on."

Fabiola just shook her head as the woman walked into the house. Minutes later,she came back with an envelope.

"Here you go."

"Thank you very much.' Fabiola collected the envelope from her,leaving imnediately to the waiting car.

As soon as she got in,she opened the envelope and saw an address in it and a note.

'I knew you'd come back. You never disappoint me. I left this just in case. I live here now and waste no time in coming while i get my broom ready for you. I love you. Carmen.'

'Oh carmen!" She laughed to herself.

The driver halted the car at the correct address and they both got down from the car. She looked at the house and was taken aback.
"This is beautiful!"

"I've got your luggages,miss." He smiled as he gave her the bags.

"Thank you so much!" She rummaged her bag."here have this." She gave him a tip.

"Bless you miss!" He was very happy as he collected it and went into the car .

Fabiola inhaled and exhaled. Carmen was going to ask her a lot of questions which she would have to give answers. She really missed her a whole lot.

Walking to the front of the house,she saw a doorbell and rang it.
