In a normal world, with normal schools, people, governments, and normal continents, something very extraordinary happened.
After a baby was born bearing a symbol resembling a ram, the child had grown horns within its first 10 years.
After that child was born, a revelation came across throughout the globe.
People with different symbols popped up all over the world, each with some trait and power from that symbol.
Some people had symbols that were very much the same as others; meaning they had the same powers. Those people came together and formed guilds, or Clans, each with their own band of identical symbols.
Each had a name from what their symbols meant.
For instance, if a Clan had the symbol of a goat, they would be called the Goat Clan.
Some of the Clans with more dark names, like the Venom Clan, would bear a symbol like a cobra.
Some Clans had people in them that harbored powers that were alike, but not the same.
Although most people of the Clans were content with their symbols, some of them were not content with being in their Clans and chose to go alone, and some even searched for enchanting herbs that would be ground up into a soup and remove their mark, but that would also remove their powers, though they would still harbor their traits.
Though most had powers and traits of some sort, there were some unlucky people who were simply powerless.
These were called 'Stargazers', separated from 'Raiders', those who had powers.
Storm Noruana, of the Shadow Clan, wishes to be more than what she is labeled for, a simple, mean, ruthless, sly, stealing, thief from Shadows Clan.
This is a tale of her journey to become a legendary preserver of justice.(Ye now to the story!
