The wind-god Shu was stationed near the outer areas of a graveyard in New Orleans, his subject Anubis sitting on a bench at the gravesite. He'd been told to watch the young god based on his past mistakes with the host of Isis. However, after the curse on the past host of Anubis had been taken care of, she had left the Lord of Funerals alone, and Shu was beyond happy with that, seeing as he had never liked that particular girl.
He felt safer now that Isis' host was out of the picture.
The only thing he was worried about at the moment was the close friendship between Anubis and one son of Hades, Nico di Angelo. He didn't like how dependent the young god had become of the younger boy. He spent too much time with the demigod and was too happy when they were together. It wasn't that Shu didn't like the boy (he preferred him to the girl), it was the fact that he could recognize the look in Anubis' eyes as he looked at the boy. It was even more affectionate than with the girl.
Anubis was sitting beside the demigod, looking fondly at his Italian companion who was speaking animatedly, his hands moving all over the place, a big smile plastered on his face. The Egyptian god took his hand and moved it up to his lips, kissing it.
Shu frowned, that seemed overly affectionate for their friendship, had he missed something?
He couldn't believe his eyes when Anubis leaned over and kissed the demigod.
That settled it.
Shu stepped in and separated them, sweeping a protesting Anubis away.
Shu reported what he had witnessed to both Isis and Osiris, considering they were the closest thing he had to parents, and it was these things he was asked to watch out for.
Osiris had frowned and had called a meeting with Isis and Horus. They spoke for a while and decided to forbid the two lovers to meet. Osiris informed Anubis of their decision, to much dismay from the young god.

Hades frowned.
His son seemed very down as of late, and it was unnerving. Hades knew he wasn't the ideal dad, and he certainly hadn't acted as such when it came to his son, but he hated seeing him this upset.
As they were eating dinner, he decided to take the first step.
He sipped his wine slowly before speaking, "So, son. How are you?"
Nico sighed, "Fine."
Hades pursed his lips, "You haven't been as talkative lately, son."
The demigod looked at him and raised an eyebrow, "I'm not that talkative to begin with."
Hades sighed, "I'm just trying to make conversation."
"Well, maybe I don't want to talk right now!" Nico almost yelled, shocked afterwards by his outburst. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to yell."
"It's okay, there is clearly something bothering you."
Nico didn't reply.
"How about we do something together after?" Hades asked.
