WHO THE FUCK NEEDS LATITUDES in their lives? I don't. And therefore, I don't know why I should be learning it. Completing the dinosaur's look with round sparkling eyes, I grinned at my work. My math notebook has more dinosaurs that it has numbers.
The bell rang and I raised my head, ogling the back of Troy's head while packing my books. Students piled out and as I made to stand up, the teacher called me. What did I do this time? I think she's not pissed about my mark because we already agreed on nothing less than D- for me.
"Mr McCover, wait also." my eyes flew out. Has God finally heard my prayers and put up Mrs Matthews to matchmake us? Are we really going to be saying our vows now? Right here in this classroom? And live happily ever after? Wow, it's decided, Math is my best subject.
I stood beside Troy, it's the closest we've ever been since I've fallen madly in love with him. My head reached up to his chin and I studied his face, like I've done all my high school life. His brown hair was perfect as usual and his nose stood rigidly against his face with just five freckles designing it. As I could draw dinosaurs so well, I could draw his face better, the contours and everything.
His green eyes trained on Mrs Matthews—who was yet to begin the exchange of vows—and his bottom lip was captured between his teeth, my lips were so going to be replacing his soon.
"Leah, you are well aware of your grades, how poor they are?" she asked. I nodded. Can you please skip to the part where I'm taking Troy as my lawfully wedded husband?
"Yes, so I'm assigning Troy here to tutor you after school. I expect improvement from you and I'll have no choice but to send you to the principal if you do not sit up. Am I clear?"
"Y-Yes."
"Troy, are you okay with this?" she asked him. Here's my fate, if he says no, I'll have no other choice but to join the convent.
"Yes Mrs Matthews, I'm okay." I heard him say in his honey dripping voice and refrained from throwing myself at him and professing my undying love for him.
