Always another option

The two girls walked through the streets of a small town. Charlotte kept her head down as they walked. Genevieve kept looking at her as they walked.

"You know, you are nothing like Steve described you as." Genevieve said.

"How did he describe me?" Charlotte asked softly looking up and moving the hair out of her face.

"He said you were a badass. That nothing bothered you and you had amazing powers. So far I'm not seeing any of that." Genevieve said.

"Sorry your disappointed." Charlotte sighed. Suddenly a car flew at them.

"Watch out!" Genevieve said. Charlotte turned around and she stopped it with her stare, lifted it into the air and turned it to dust.

"Who the hell threw a car at us?" Charlotte asked.

"So you stare at things. Ok I'm starting to see what Steve saw in you." Genevieve sighed. Then a guy flew down in front of them.

"Sorry, I didn't even see you guys." He said.

"You threw the car?" Genevieve asked.

"No the car was thrown at me and I moved." He said.

"I'm not in the mood for this today." Genevieve said.

"What even happened to it?" The guy asked.

"I turned it into ash hope you don't mind." Charlotte said.

"Wait, are you Charlotte?" The guy asked.

"Yeah.....how do you know who I am?" She asked.

"Tony has said a lot about you. I'm Thor." He said putting out his hand and Charlotte gently shook it.

"Wait as in the Long hair handsome superhero with a hammer? I thought you had two eyes?" Genevieve asked confused.

"The years have been ruff. I would get out of here, thanos will be coming any minute." Thor said.

"Thanks but I think we can handle it ourselves." Genevieve said.

"Whatever you say." He said and flew off.

"Ok here we are. Hurry get inside." Genevieve said running into a tiny house.

"Charlotte!" Steve said and hugged her.

"It's so good to see you. I'm glad you are ok." She said.

"Listen we don't have much time. I overheard thanos talking, he wants to come after you. But he doesn't know if you are alive." Steve said.

"But what can I do?" Charlotte asked. Then a loud bang came from outside causing everyone to fall.

"Ok we have to go." Steve said.

"No tell me what I can do." She said. Suddenly a huge boulder came through the roof. Charlotte used her shield to hold it back.

"Get out of here!" Charlotte yelled struggling to hold her shield.

"Not without you!" Steve yelled. The boulder began to fall slowly. Charlotte yelled as she pushed the boulder up and threw it to the side. She fell to the ground.

"Charlotte! Come on we have to go." Steve said picking her up and running out of the house. They ran and vanished. They were back in New York. They ran into a small apartment and locked the door.

"Charlotte are you ok?" Steve asked putting her on the couch.

"Yeah I'm good." She said sitting up.

"Ok now you may not like this idea but it's the only way." Steve sighed.

"I will do anything to get Danielle and peter back." She said.
