Chapter 4 Part 1

Mickaela quickly wrapped up her interview and finally headed home after spending a few hours in her interview. She was so exhausted, she barel had time to sleep. All she wanted to do was crawl into bed and sleep her life away, but sadly she was called to a meeting with her company she's signed with.

Mickaela and Joonie stepped out of the car and closed the door behind them. They both walked casually into Mickaela's agency's building.

As soon as they got to the first few steps, the secretary buzzed them in. "I was told to come here for a meeting?" Mickaela asked her. She stood a little on her tippey toes to see over the secretary.

She looked up at her with her blue eyes piercing into the moonlight. "Yes, room 310 your staff members and managers are waiting for you. Take the elevator." She smiled at Joonie and Mickaela, then looked back down at her desk. Both girls thanked her then walked towards the elevator and stepped inside.

Joonie pressed the tenth floor and the elevator doors shut. "What's this meeting about anyways?" She asked Mickaela. She took her phone out and snapped a photo of the elevator buttons, sending a snapchat to someone.

Joonie has been Mickaela's bestfriend since first grade and they literally go everywhere with each other. She's the only friend Mickaela haas that wasn't using her for her money or for fame and for that Mickaela is thankful.

"I have no idea." Mickaela started. "Its not urgent, but its something that can't be put on hold." Joonie nodded her head and once the elevator door opened, they both walked out and walked to door 310.

Mickaela opened the door and there everyone was, waiting for her arrival.

"Oh darling there you are." Said Mickaela's mom while giving her and Joonie a big hug.

She hesitantly put her arm around her moms waist. "What's going on mom?"

She released the girls from her grip and pointed at the seats. "Sit, we have news."

"Uh okay." Mickaela said. She had no idea what was going on and neither did Joonie.

Finally Mickaela and Joonie took their seats. Mickaela crossed her legs and looked around the room. "Where's dad?"

"Im right here honey." He said. He walked out from the hallway and sat down across from Mickaela's mom.

"Mom whats going on? Tell me!" Mickaela said nervously. She had a feeling this couldn't be good news.

"Calm down, we have to wait for the CEO to come out here." Her mom said. Mickaela rolled her eyes and began talking with Joonie until the CEO showed up.

Finally the CEO walked in and shut the door behind him. "Awe M it's great to see you. How are you doing?" He asked his only client. He sat down by her parents and looked at straight and Joonie and Mickaela.

"Im doing great and yourself?"

"Better than ever. See I called you in here because I have amazing news." He said. He smirked at the two girls who were eyeing him suspiciously.

Mickaela looked at Joonie and then back at him. "What is it?"

"Well, you have been nominated for three billboard music awards." Mickaela put her hand over her mouth, shocked at what she just heard. "That's not all. They want you to perform at the Billboard Music Awards also." At this point Mickaela jumped out of her seat and was screaming out of excitement.

"Seriously? They want me too?! Why me?" Mickaela asked. It wasn't that she thought she wasn't a good enough performer, but she wanted to know why her out of all the other artist in the world. Why her?

"Probably because your one of the most popular rookie artists of the year. You've grown so popular since last year and you'll be making history too, but there's going to be alot of stress on this. I want you to stay healthy, work hard. We know you'll do great."

Mickaela smiled at him, showing off her big smile. She still couldn't believe that she will be performing at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards.

This felt like a dream come true for her, even though it's coming true. This was always her dream.

"I won't disappoint." Mickaela finally said after calming down.

Joonie and her stood up from their seats and hugged everyone that was in the room, before dismissing theirselves and leaving.

They walked back to the elevator and rode it down to the lobby. They talked the whole way down, just expressing how excited they both were. They couldnt stop talking about this once in a lifetime moment.

Mickaela and Joonie got back to the house and made their way up to Mickaela's room. Their they sat down on her bed and began talking and eating snacks.

"When is the BBMA's anyways?" Joonie asked. She grabbed a hand full of chips and put them in her mouth.

"May 20th. Its in Las Vegas this year." Mickaela grabbed some chips from her hands and put one in her mouth.

"I know your excited. What song are you going to perform?" She asked.

"Im going to surprise everyone with a song that no one's heard before. A song that no one would ever think of me to do. Something slow and meaningful."

She nodded her head. "I like it. Have you written it yet?"

"Not yet. Its in two months. Im going to focus on the lyrics and once i'm done with the lyrics, im going to focus on choreograph later."

"I don't think you should do a choreograph this time. Especially since its a slow song. Just sit on a stool or stand and sing your heart out." Joonie suggested.

Mickaela thought to herself. Maybe she was right. She doesn't want to spend so much on the dancing and not enough of the lyrics. Atleast this will give her more time to focus on the lyrics. "Wait what should I do about upcoming tours and interviews?" Mickaela asked. She totally forgot since people will soon find out that she's performing, many people will want to do interviews.

"I think you should still do some tours, but stay out of the way and write the lyrics. That's really important right now. Especially since you want it to be meaningful."

"You're right Joonie. I just can't wait for May 20th."

Joonie smiled at her and they continued watching tv and eating for the rest of the night.

Mickaela felt happy and at peace, but their was still something that kept bothering her.
