"Do you you really have to go?" Jhope asked. Mickaela got out of the bed she was sharing with Suga and put her shoes on.
"I do." She said while tying her left shoe then moving onto her right shoe. Once she finished she dropped her right foot to the ground and stood up. "My manager texted me to come by the studio. I don't know what for."
Mickaela was just about to head out when Jhope grabbed her wrist, stopping her. He spun her around so that she was facing him. "I don't like your manager. He sounds like um." Jhope stopped talking and started thinking of the right word.
"A creep." Jin finished for him.
"Yeah, a creep."
Mickaela slid her wrist out of Jhope's grip. "Yeah, I understand what you're saying but I don't think he's a creep. He's just my manager."
"You haven't noticed how he acts towards you M?" Joonie asked. She got off the bed and grabbed her jacket from the clothing rack. "How he talks to you?"
Mickaela thought to herself for a moment. She really didn't see anything wrong with anything. "No." Joonie sighed.
"Well how about you go with her Joonie. It will atleast make us feel better." Jungkook suggested.
"Thats good." Joonie said. She grabbed her shoes and put them on quickly. "Ready?"
Mickaela nodded her head. "I'm ready." She quickly ran over to Suga and hugged him before her and Joonie left out of the hotel room.
***
"Excuse me? Manager? I'm here!" Mickaela yelled through the studio as she and Joonie walked inside.
Her manager turned around in his chair and smiled at Mickaela, but his smile faded once he caught sight of Joonie. "Hey guys." He said.
"Hey." Joonie responded with concern in her voice.
"Well um how's the song coming along?" He asked Mickaela.
Mickaela dig into her backpack and pulled out the song. "It's finished and i'm ready to record it."
Her manager gave her a weak smile and he stood up and walked closer to Mickaela. "Is that so?"
Mickaela being oblivious smiled and nodded her head. "Uh huh."
"Can I see it?" He asked. He reached for the song but Mickaela yanked the notebook back.
"No! Why do you want to see my song for? It's not for anyones eyes!" She yelled.
Her manager frowned at her. "But i'm your manager?"
Mickaela shrugged her shoulders. "I don't trust anyone with my songs. Don't take offense to it." Mickaela pushed pass her manager and sat down in the chair.
"Too late." He muttered to himself. He sat down on the couch that was in the studio. "Why are you here?" He asked Joonie.
"I'm here with my bestfriend. Why does it matter if i'm here?" Joonie asked. She was skeptical about Mickaela's manager. He doesn't seem like he's manager worthy.
The manager just brushed off what Joonie said and took his phone out and began messing with it. A few minutes went by and he all of a sudden got up from the couch and walked out of the studio.
Joonie took his place on the couch. "I'm glad he's gone." She whispered just in case he came back.
Mickaela shrugged her shoulders. "You guys are overreacting. I dont think he's that bad."
Joonie rolled her eyes. "Okay M."
"Anyways come here real quick." Mickaela motioned for Joonie to come closer and she did. "Okay i'm going to start recording so when I give you the okay, I want you to press this button and move these switches up okay?"
Joonie nodded her head. She's done this a million times for Mickaela, but everytime Mickaela forgets she's done this before so she just stopped reminding her.
"Okay." Mickaela got out of her seat and walked inside the recording booth. She placed the headphones on her ears and gave Joonie a thumbs up.
"Ready?" Joonie said into the microphone.
Mickaela held the headphones and nodded her head. "Ready!"
Joonie began pressing the buttons that Mickaela showed her and once the music started going, Mickaela started singing her song. Occasionally Joonie would move switches here and there when Mickaela would move her hand up or down.
The song finally finished and Mickaela took her headphones off. "How was it?"
Joonie smiled. "Perfect."
***
They ended up repeating the same process over twenty times. Each time there was something Mickaela didn't like about the song.
She was beginning to give up, but after the twentieth time, she actually liked it.
"Now this one is perfect." Mickaela smiled. She sat back in her chair.
"Finally." Joonie teased. They've been at the studio for over three hours with no breaks, literally.
"Shut up." Mickaela teased back. She playfully hit Joonie. "I wanted this song to be perfect and I didn't really want any help with producing it or anything."
"Why?" Joonie asked. She opened her bottle of water and took a sip. "Theres nothing wrong with a little help."
Mickaela sighed. "I know, but I wanted to do this myself. This is my own song I wrote, this is my own song I produced."
"Well, no matter what you do I'll always support you."
Mickaela smiled and they both hugged each other. "I'm so glad to have a bestfriend like you."
"Me too." Joonie agreed.
Before any of them could say anything, Mickaela's manager walked in talking to someone on the phone.
"She won't let me hear her song so I can't get it for you." He said. He walked in and nearly died.
Mickaela and Joonie were staring at him with widened eyes.
"Who are you talking to?" Joonie asked.
The manager clicked the end button and slid his phone into his pocket. "Nobody." He smiled.
Mickaela raised an eyebrow. "You're not a manager are you?"
"I-I am!"
"Then who were you talking to?" Joonie asked again.
The manager started fumbling with his words. He couldnt come up with a good enough excuse. He was caught red handed.
Joonie chuckled. "Thought so."
